Barry the bird boggler We have no money so what are we expected to do if a big offer arrives for any player?

Madejski claims we have no money.

And just how does he expect to make money by completely peeing off his customers and sending his business down a league?

Also who the hell is going to want to buy a football club that has been stripped of all its best players, losing customers and more likely to end up in a relegation battle than be in the running for promotion?!

^^ this.

If we're "only" 4 million in debt that's pretty good going imo. Maybe if we'd spent a bit in our second season in Prem, we would still be there now and finally be in credit.

Agreed, however that wasn't JM's fault - that was our other "legend"

We'll never know the truth really will we. I cannot see that Coppell wouldn't have strengthened had he been given the right amount of money.

JM really isn't holding back anything from this club, he's given all he can.

Whether he's holding out for too much money is another question.

This is the biggest bone of contention though in all of this. I truly believe we wouldn't be in debt if all the money paid to the football club was kept within the football club. The hotel should be run as a completely separate entity and it is not.

What about three points at Lesicester? Unlikely.

Bottom four by this Sunday. Extremely likely. Real Facts from the Main Man. You know it makes sense.

Sir Dodger.

And your next prediction?

Franchise FC
RoyalBlue
Once were Biscuitmen Coming out of a global recession how many million/billionaires are going to want to invest in a loss making 2nd tier football club? Further a club which is suffering from trying to run itself as a business like any other rather than piling on debt to secure temporary success. Reading FC are corporate proof of the insanity any new owner would be buying into.

Nobody was complaining when JM was subsidizing purchases in the 3rd tier or guaranteeing the loans that secured us our shiny, new stadium and ultimately our moment in the sun.

There no theoretical Russian/Arab/Chinese Billionaires lined up to buy the club and even if there were would 70 million vs 50 million quid put them off when they knew they would have to subsidise losses for every year of their ownership anyway.

It's football which is broken and not JMs stewardship of Reading FC.

Football isn't broken no matter how much people claim it is. It's just Madejski doesn't want to play in the same league and by the same rules as the majority. Deluded old *** seems to think he can operate successfully in a totally different way.

Football isn't broken ? What world are you living in ?

Portsmouth (twice), Leeds, Crystal Palace, Brisol City ......... etc.

All these are clubs that, using the football business model of spend what you haven't got in the vain hope of recouping some of it, have swindled normal business folk out of millions, but somehow lived to fight another day.

MOST clubs operate at a loss and most are wildly in debt. It is only the deluded Madjeski types that have propped up the current model so long.

What world am I living in? The world where we speak and understand the Queen's English!

Football may be morally bankrupt but it is not broken as the business models you understandably criticise still work!

All the clubs you refer to are still in business.

Should have gone by now then. Don't forget when he was telling the whole of Berkshire that they had a duty to come and support their local football team, he made out that he was giving (not lending) the club loads of money.

Finch And it's taken you until now to realise this?

RFC died 4 years ago pal.

Football as a whole died even further back. Witness the recent World Cup...what a load of horse manure!

Crystal Palace – Nobody wanted to buy them out of admin despite a larger potential fan base than Reading. A group of local business were forced to take over to stop the club going under. Could easily go down.

Leeds – Relegated to the third tier when once a Premiership mainstay. Only Ken Bates’, “astute management” of the admin process kept them in existence in their current form. They still don’t own their stadium or training ground.

Portsmouth – were one court case away from going out of existence in their current form. Even restructured their debts are still significant. Looking to whore themselves to another foreign owner with no links to the city or club.

Britol City – so far no car crash but despite their financial genius the table tells me they are in the relegation zone 9 places below us.

Get this c**t out now. Time to go Michael Knighton - you're sucking all the talent and money out of this club and the fans have had enough.
