Sig's first touch vs Shane Long's first touch. Discuss.
Shane Long's first touch is his seventh.
To quote someone, Shane Long has the touch of a rapist.

FiNeRaIn Premiership stable? Are you retarded? There is nothing stable about portsmouth, man city, liverpool, west ham's,etc antics over the last few years.
The German domestic league is weak? Once again...what are you talking about? How many teams did they have in the champs league final last season compared to ours? Bayern knocked out our champions. End of story. Their attendances are also higher. Borussia Dortmund get bigger crowds than Man United and have done nothing for a decade. You really need to do some reading up before you continue spouting nonsense. Last part of your argument is also rubbish, if English players were good enough they would start instead of Foreigners, they aren't and they don't...blame the STABILITY of the English leagues.

So the premiership is not a stable league?????
I obviously just rate him more highly than you do. There were rumours earlier today that Liverpool had been watching him - now thats more of the level I believe he should be aiming for. Not a mid table german team that (and im sorry if my knowledge of german football is not up to scratch) I and many others havent heard of.
And the arguement you put forward regarding the national team makes no sense at all.
German national team is strong because their domestic league is weak and doesnt attract the best players in the world and they have mainly home grown players. The premiership is the best domestic league in the world and attracts the best players from around the world, unfortunately this means our national team is weak as the english players dont get a game.

The Little Englander mentality in this thread is pathetic. I believe that one of the main aims of The Greatest League In The World (Copyright Sky) was to strengthen the national team. How did that go then? The Premier League is now just a flashier version of the Scottish Premier that is heading for financial armageddon. Good luck to Sig for recognizing that there is almost certainly a better career path for him in the Bundesliga than wallowing in the stiffs of a 'top, top' English club. He will be playing in a more competitive league.

So what you are saying is that the bundesliga is stronger than the premiership? If players like drogba, Torres, ronaldo went to play in that league, would they be kept out of the team by germans? Don't think so.

They were lucky to knock United out just as they were lucky against Fiorentina in the round before in fact, they were hardly ever in front in those two ties and had to rely on late goals to go through.
Oh and Bundesliga attendances are higher because their tickets are dirt cheap (lucky sods).
Other than that spot on.
