not sure fryatt is the correct choice of replacement for gylfi....we need a player who can link play and sit in there behind the striker, "the hole" as it's known by cliche-merchants.........tommy smith anybody? we have enough strikers now with hunts return to fitness plus church and long......ok maybe one more striker and one attacking midfielder but i'd prioritise the attacking midfielder signing

seeing as we have done business with blackburn rovers, let's raid them again for jason roberts, he'd score a bucketful in this division and maybe rickie lambert for attacking midfield, a cheeky million pound bid as the south coast club seem to be in disarray at the moment

^ I don't think we'll be seeing the same formation now Gylfi's gone, a flat 4-4-2 would be likely.

I'd love Lambert here, exactly what we need, a tough, no nonsense striker who would score a hatful of goals.

Seeing Lambert sign for Reading would help me get over Gylfi.

Yeah cos that was really helpful against Scunthorpe wasn't it?

If someone of the others can do some of that some of the time, perhaps Zurab can do a job of making sure it counts for something eh?

Gutted we had to waiting until the cheque from Hoffenheim cleared before we could spend it on Zurab.

I hope he does well but does anyone really think we can afford his wages when his contract runs out.

Ian Harte in the next hour or so apparently, other than that no idea, really hope we pull off a massive coup before the end of the window, though I'm not holding my breath.

Oh and Fordham says that Feds, Kebe, Mills and McAnuff are all staying.

Afraid it's the usual friend of a friend to me but this route has proven to be correct in the past - may even be the same source as Scarface. Could be total bollocks but I'm leaning toward believing it at the moment.

I'd rather Aliadiere than 'just Harte', we need an attacking midfielder or a forward!!!

Btw, QPR looking very busy all of a sudden, Tommy Smith and Hulse going there.
