If he can slam a few goals into the back of the net, he's all right with me.

Official site says he scored 18 goals from CB last season.

If these are the only 2 additions to the squad after Sig's departure I'm a tad disappointed to say the least. Would've been nice to add another attacking option to fill the void that Sig leaves.

Khis and Harte are good players who have played at the top level for years (I thought Harte had retired long ago, so what do i know :) ), but they're slow and old and adding to an already underwhelming quick back 4/5!

Can I just say that Jimmy Quinn was 34 when he signed for Reading.

It doesn't show much ambition signing an old bloke from Carlisle and getting in Williams from Scunthorpe.

I hope Zurab plays like he did before when he was with us and stays free from injury.

All in all - my one word to sum up today "meh".

I've watched him play for carlisle last season, he was muck for a few seasons before that but got his form and fitness back in a big way and was electric last year getting on the leagues team of the season to boot. Easily one of the best set piece specialists in the world and not as slow as people say, I rate him very highly. Think its an astute signing.
Don't forget this guy was once the best left back in the premiership and a world cup starter, he's 33 not 37 and form is temporary class is permanent.

Plymouth_Royal F*ck this. I'm never buying a season ticket again and it's all because of you Harte. yooou!

Quoted for posterity.

When I first tried to get into Sunday League football a few years ago, I said that I was a forward (because I was a winger at school) and the bloke I met chuckled. "Everyone thinks they're a striker", he said.

Something similar applies here - there's more to football than strikers.

This signing jusr shows what a joke Reading FC are at the moment.

We sell our best player for a ton of cash, and sign this past it league 1 player.

Whilst the piss has clearly been taken out of us, it's not Harte's fault, or any of the other players for that matter.

Take it that they've realised that Williams and Cummings aren't up to it, not a bad signing, not a long term fix though!
