Horsham Royal
Tilehurst End I've decided that on my one day of freedom a week from screaming kids at home, whinging colleagues and inept managers at work and constant depressing news on the TV about the end of the world, I am only going to have 2 pints before the Palace game instead of the usual 3 thus derpiving Mr Mad 0f £3+!

That'll show him.

But he won't be making £3+ profit per pint ...
So you'd have to forego all 3 pints if you want to hit his pocket that hard.
Question is, are you prepared to carry out such radical action ??

Hey, I'm not upset!

Besides, on a more serious note having read Gylfi's statement ( "if I'd stayed it would have been for the wrong reasons" etc ) I think the Mr mad witch hunt should be toned down a bit.

Maybe I'll have the 3 pints and forego the pie. :)

Arch Pull yourself together. You're making yourself look like a total ponce.

It's all about the group-therapy today on HNA.

Turn away from violence, renounce hatred, rid yourself of anger... it's easy turn on candle in the wind, watch videos of gylfi scoring and set up a shrine - cry a bit, cry some more, sing a long with Elton and then light some candles... it's really helping me come to terms with this.

You know what to do Arch...

It could be worse, i was walking around Dinton Pastures yesterday and some bloke was constantly calling his dog to him, his dog was called Gylfi, now that's gotta hurt.

Arch
andrew1957 Why did the club have no choice. He was under contact and seems to have had no desire to go. The club have pushed him out from all the reports I have read.

Gylfi If I'd stayed, it probably would have been for the wrong reasons - I was in the team, I was settled, but I wanted this new challenge... The Club were fair to me and said that if they got the right offer they wouldn't stand in my way, and I would have been silly to say no to this, even though I loved everything about Reading

It was his choice and he could have chosen to stay. That's what contracts are about. No please stop all this incontinent rage and weeping over how angry you are. Pull yourself together. You're making yourself look like a total ponce.

End of thread, although if Royalee and Dodger are still planning on going all buddhist monk that's one protest I can prolly support

Really?

I'd just change the name if bothered.

Easy.

I have a friend who named his child Gylfi, has Gylfi tattoed across his back and lost his wife as a result of both of these.

He also spent £30,000 on the numberplate "GYLF1"

And has betted the rest of his savings that Gylfi will lead us to the premiership.

To make matters worse he made a promise to his old man - who is on his deathbed - that he will get Gylfi to sign his 1922 Reading shirt before he dies, as it is his final earthly wish.

I hope Gylfi is happy with himself.

Am I right in thinking that with the £6M for Sigs+£200,000 whatever for Henry, and only probably something in the region of £300,000 out that we have finally got rid of this perennial £4M deficit.....................or is it going to re-appear again towards January ?????

It'll be back. And until Sir John considers permanent folicle replacement, we'll be forever lumbered with his quarterly wig bill.

Could always burn effigies of the 3 not so wise monkeys in the car park before the palarse game. That sort of thing goes down well on the sub-continent.

I wonder what the shortfall will be next year? Who will we have to sell to balance the books? I wonder how many STs and replica shirts they are budgeting/forecasting.

HI GUYZ!

Listen, I don't understand particle accelerators. So I don't discuss them as if I did. That seems fairly appropriate, no?

So tell me, why do people who clearly haven't the first clue about accounting consider themselves fully qualified to weigh in? You know it doesn't work like on Championship Manager, right? Selling a player for 6m does not mean your bank account is instantly credited with 6m. Now, maybe it'd help you all if you visualised the Large Hadron Collider in place of your branch of HSBC - perhaps this strong visual metaphor will remind you how damned ignorant you really are?

I'm boycotting the next game as my demonstration and going to Crawley Town - an ambitious conference side who have spent more than Reading this month, sold no one and may only be one division apart from us next year.

As well as lower match cost/drink, I will save £15-20 on petrol and not get jammed on the Oxf*rd M25 which has been a nightmare this summer.
