Sorry - Ipswich fan again

by ITFC_Keane » 31 Aug 2010 23:28

Why DID you sell Sigurdsson?

Best player in the CCC by a mile, someone who would've got you back up and been decent enough to play at that level. Have I missed owt? Or was it Madjeski? Know how it feels to lose someone decent, so my heart goes out, but even so...??

Are you in some sort of financial trouble? Again, been there and that. Never nice.

Look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks anyway.... :P

Sad to see him go but it's great to have an academy producing these sorts of goods. Fast becoming one of the best in the country. 8)

"If he's not worth £6m now he certainly will be in a few years time.

I'm glad he won't be playing against us this season.

As for Reading, no doubt John Madejski will pocket that £6m all for himself like he usually does."

Sad, even opposition fans can see what some of our own fans don't.

basically, Sigurdsson had a release clause in his conteract if we were offered over 3m, he wanted to play in the Bundersliga, so we accepted.

The best homegrown player we have produced for 25 years, a massive shame, end of story.

So's ours! Some of the kids we're bringing through...well...they're better than the oirish journeymen Keano signed for us on loan last season!

We're playing some brilliant stuff at the moment. Long may it continue. I saw your win v Leicester on the telly Saturday btw. Looking good. Shame you had to sell one of your better players today.

Name a Championship side who could afford to turn down £7 Million for one of their players?? Enough said.

One that is renowned for being a sensible "brick by brick" club, soundly built, soundly financed that had amassed over a 100million out of nowhere and spent almost none of it?

oh.

I know other fans think this as well, I work with a Spurs STH and an Aldershot STH and the first thing they said was that Madelski would keep most of the cash. Spurs fan thinks if we'd spent a bit more of the money at the end of our fisrt season in the prem we would still be there now.

I'm well chuffed he won't be playing against us in a few weeks.

But you've still got quality in that squad. Just that it's slow.

No. Marcus Evans, Keane at al, fought to keep him. Spurs offered £10 million. We are holding out for more.

And I think if we'd popped 3 more past derby we'd still be there now.

Glad to see all these 'neutral' fans know so much about how our club is run.

I know I'm an expert on all of theirs :|
