While I'm not exactly overwhelmed with excitement at both Lee and Ian's capture, it makes sense to add a bit of experience to the squad and gives us a little more flexibility.

More interestingly which rumour was Heston talking about when he told BBCB last night that he had hoped to bring in another player yesterday....

The text on the EP website says

McDermott said: “We’ll have a look at Lee over a period of two or three weeks. He’s very fit and hungry. If you put this boy in the right position then something could happen."

BM then says - “I’ve got a good feeling about this and I hope it goes well for him. He’s a player who plays off the striker and in between the lines. He feels he can play at this level still and he could be quite exciting for us.”

I doubt this is the signing as in the same article B McD states they have a bid in elsewhere when questioned about Fryatt.

This must have been the LBH number plate in the car park i assume. Very odd one... and now Fordham is saying this is who he was talking about but RFC also made a bid for a striker that wasn't Fryatt or Cox. Interesting stuff

What annoys me is that he would have been a decent purchase/acquisition in our two Premiership seasons.

This is several years on and ... oh god ...

It could be a good move.. I remember everyone Bitching when St Johnstone Signed Jody Morris now hes club captain..

He has experience and we have gone someway to fixing the defence... Yes Gylfi will be missed but we need to get on with it.

Loan striker after the 8th ( Hopefully a big name ) and all will be good

I can't see the problem if he's only here for a trial. He comes along, trains with us and then everyone agrees that he's not good enough.

Reading FC now confirm this via the official site and it does say about a view to a permanent move for Hendrie
