wolseyYateleyRoyal Completely missed this but Hamer's gone to Brentford til January, and McCarthy has come back.
Maybe McCarthy didn't live up to expectations there?
Or (total speculation) we rate McCarthy more than Hamer (would make sense bearing in mind relative contract statuses) and want him here to be part of first team set up, leaving Hamer at Brentford for long term loan with view to permanent deal?
Just guessing.

Gr8 m8.
judge him on one game when hes been sat on the bench for a year . 70+ appearances for Brentford gettting POTS and the "Golden Glove" > 1 League Cup tie.
I havnt seen much to suggest McCarthy/Andersen are as good as Hamer.
I think Hungerford Bee is probably more qualified to judge dont you think?

Mr AngrySarah Star It's not just to give him a change from sitting on the bench and give him some match time then?
You just don't get it do you Sarah??
UNLESS you manage to see a conspiracy in every turn that RFC does (by which of course, I mean Mr Mad - BOOOOOOOO - or Nicky Hammond - BOOOOOOOO) then you can't possibly be a true supporter.
Frankly, your reasonable answers and taking things at face value aren't what is needed in these frenzied, razor blade chomping, paraquat quaffing times.

So his cricketing career is not going well either then?
Have you seen his square cut? awful...

Upper West Ginger Hamer had a decent match in Brentford's 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday shown on Sky today. He made a couple of decent saves, but wasn't really put under too much pressure. (Nicky Weaver made one outstanding save for Wednesday). Hamer will have done his cuse no harm by keeping a clean sheet in a televised game, and helping get Brentford off the bottom of the League 1 table.

It was touch and go whether he or Richard Lee would be no1 goalie though - according to my man in the know at Brentford.
