Hugo Boss John Humphrey or Kenny Brown.peterroyal76 For me it has to be Nicky Shorey, closely followed by Armstrong and Bertrand. Mentions must be given to Steve Richardson and Michael Gilkes although in my opinion Gilkes was obviously a winger who could do a good job at left back. Dylan was a decent left back who did a very good job for us, although I'm not sure he should have been our player of the year. Matt Robinson was an excellent signing, especially considering some of the dross we were served up between himself and Dylan Kerr.

If you are signing 33-year-olds for £50k from league one and thinking that is the way forward, and that is "an excellent purchase", then that is a recipe for disaster.
What like Jimmy Quinn?
There's a 33-year-old named Jimmy Quinn available for £50k from a league one club?

Duke the Dog Did anyone mention Paul Bodin, class act! (I'll get my coat...).
Rooster and Boomer, there were 2 great reading characters. Rooster was never the same after he got kicked in the chest and broke several ribs (iirc). Boomer had one of the best leaps I've ever seen, must be the shortest player we've had playing at centreback/sweeper!
