Jack Willshere looked really good. Would he be the ready made replacement for Fabregas?

Tipped Notts Co to upset Wolves and they nearly did

Brentford though is mega silks, just a shame Hamer wasn't involved but good to see Fozzy get on

Is this the thread to talk about the fantastic football played by Arsene Wenger's team again?

Personally I don't care if they don't win anything again this season, it is a privilege to be able to watch the most attractive football of our lifetime on a regular basis.

The extra muscle and know-how of Chelsea will almost certainly win out again overall but they won't come near to the artistry displayed by those young wizards.

Whilst not dismissing the occasional petulance and indiscipline that has dogged Wenger's teams over the years, it really is a beautiful game when Arsenal play.

My first thought was to see if Hamer had played and then realised he was cup tied

Or Lampard in the England setup.

Not big boned enough :P
I should have added that it was not as if he was up against a particularly experienced midfield last night.

It does sound a bit OTT but they, and the current Barcelona and Spain teams are playing the most attractive football I have seen since early 70s Brazil.

Might be selective memory but I support none of those teams so it should be a reasonably fair assessment. (Different people's boats are floated by different things, I happen to enjoy intricate instinctive one touch passing that seems to rely on telepathy between groups of players rather than a more power-based game.)

I'd say that the Bergkamp in his prime days run it pretty close RR.

Anyone else astonished that Lee Probert managed to give two penalties to Arsenal in quick succession last night without so much as booking a Spurs player? Could argue (just) that for the first the attacker was going away from goal, but it was still a goalscoring opportunity. Second one, foul on Chamakh, was clear cut though, should have been an easy decision for Probert to send the defender off, yet not even a yellow.

Or am I alone in this opinion?

Surely Chelsea are playing the most attractive football? Think of all those goals scored...

Ramsey would fit this mould more, had it not been for his serious injury.

Still, one man's misfortune is another man's gain.
