Give up snowball... you're getting an absolute hammering from absolutely everyone. Even Zac, who picked up part of the argument with Hoop, has said he doesn't necessarily agree with your conclusions.

Oh, this'll probably piss Mags off, but I completely agree with everything he's posted on the last couple f pages.

And yet you still didn't realise we didn't score many goals from corners...

CORRECT. BECAUSE LIKE MOST (HONEST) FANS I ADMIT THAT MY PERCEPTIONS
WERE ERRONEOUS... BECAUSE I GAVE TO MUCH WEIGHT TO CORNERS THAT PRODUCED
A GOAL AND DIMINISHED THE WEIGHT GIVEN TO UNSUCCESSFUL CORNERS.

See Nisbet & Ross for an intelligent debate on this, the UNIVERSAL error for all normal humans.

Except you and Ian, of course.

No one is arguing that recollection isn't imperfect and that people don't have personal baggage which filters their view. Some are just much better at taking this into consideration than others.

But I'm definitely capable of managing the sort of level that allows me to know that corners very rarely lead directly to goals. And that's from only something like 150 - 200 live games. So not a great many.

Hey fellow nobbers, I live up here in the land of sheep sha**ers and haggis and I am not quite sure what gave me the most pleasure watching Gylfi score ? it is either,

1. Wow 2 fabulous goals and what a player we have created, or
2. Truly great to see the Jocks getting stuffed......................again !

As ever you're not comparing the same thing. Your assertion that fans shouldnt get excited about corners is based solely on goals scored.

WE DON'T HAVE STATS, FOR SAVES FROM CORNERS, HEADERS OVER THE BAR, BLOCKED SHOTS.
THE STATS WE HAVE ARE TOTAL NUMBER OF CORNERS, AND GOALS SCORED THEREBY.

With regard to Kebe you're including a near miss or some excitement generated.

I'M INCLUDING SPECIFICS THAT WERE MENTIONED IN REPORTS, OR THAT I'VE SEEN.
DO YOU SERIOUSLY EXPECT THERE TO BE STATS/REPORTS FOR EVERY SAVE, BLOCK, MISS,
KEEPER-COMES-OUT AND COLLECTS, FOR 330 CORNERS?

You're also using goals/corners taken as a % for that point yet not doing the same with kebe.
As a % how many Kebe touches leads to a goal? It doesn't stop us getting excited about it.

WE DON'T HAVE THOSE STATS. BECAUSE THE STATS AREN'T AVAILABLE, DOES THAT MEAN I CANNOT COMMENT?

ONLY A CLOWN WOULD SUGGEST KEBE, IN HIS CURRENT FORM, ISN'T BOTH HIGHLY ACTIVE AND PRODUCTIVE.

Oh Dear.

2 world wars, 1 world cup I get excited by big tits.

Not sure how that's relevant but thought I'd share it.

Thanks.

Rather like corners, you happen across many pairs of big tits in your day but its very rarely they're bouncing about in front of your eyes come the end of the evening.

or something.
