What a total bunch of cunts Man Utd are.

This whole load of bollox has been planned for months to take the attention away and try and rise above City, i despise the club.

I did however decide to leave Rooney in my dream team 8)

Seriously though, you don't really believe that do you?

Seriously yes, yesterday talks hadn't even been opened and then suddenly it's all tied up the next morning. Contract negotiations tend to take a fair while. Look at the bigger picture, he has a wife and one year old kid at home. What do you think Coleen would have said to Wayne? Get this mess sorted!

I wonder if it was a situation where he got all up himself, charged into Ferguson's office and said 'give me what I want or I'm leaving', to which Ferguson replied 'you know where the door is'. Can't have taken Rooney long for him to realise his faux pas.

I really don't buy that.

I'm sure they wouldn't scare half as easily as that and they can afford whatever security they wanted if it was really required. I'm sure it was more a case of turn up in the morning and he got what he was asking for (both ££ and in assurances on the way the squad was going) and so agreed to sign.

So was he ever or is he now injured?
What a bunch of liars-Fergie when it comes to injuries,Rooney when asked by his missus "Where've ye been Wayne?"
A horrible greedy,self-obsessed toerag envious of Ronaldo because
(a)He earns more money
(b)Plays for a bigger club
(c)Is better looking
(d)Is a better footballer

Envy is a terrible thing, greed is just about as bad and Wayne in those terms you are world class,in everything else you are not.
In fact you and your club go well together-no class.

If trophies were his bag, then Gerrard should have left Liverpool for Chelsea when he had the chance.

If not, well Liverpool's a good as place as any not to win anything I suppose.

southbank1871 I wonder if these were the same United fans who were going to kill the Glaziers?

Apparently is was the same people who stood in a car park with an estate agents sign saying "please don't go"

That I can imagine a bit more.

He back himself into a corner maybe and coupled with being pissed off with his form and the World Cup just went off on one. The only thing against that is the bit where contract talks were stopped in August and this had been hushed up since then.

It was only Rooney's apparent strop and confrontation with Fergie over the ankle non-injury that brought this out into the open.

Every week football at the highest level gets a little less appealing.

Mind you, with Windsor & Eton struggling to come through financial crisis there's not a lot to enthuse about the integrity at any level of the game.

And as the economic woes are set to continue for a number of years I'm curious as to whether supporters will rebel against the seemingly never ending supply of dosh being handed to the top "stars" or will it just be seen as a bit of fantasy that is outside of the real world? Maybe the fans will find the money no matter what just to maintain that escapism.

Isn't it obvious that some supporters have given up and others have taken their place?
As far as I can see, it will continue.

Yes it is obvious that has happened in the last few decades. Not sure that will continue to be the case.

Can't see it.

Mind you, football is bigger than all the teams, fans and stadia put together.

I don't think there's going to be the apocalypse that you've been predicting.
