Howard only just came back into the side with Karacan playing almost double the games... and has 4 assists possibly 5 after today if I heard teh commentary right, and it was accurate of course.

Easy pickings. It's not one striker we need, it's two. Still, we'll do enough to achieve mid-table safety but we really need some investment in January.

Agreed but i think the club will settle for a flutter with the playoffs at best and pray we are never in contention for promotion or relegation. Sitting slap in the middle of the table at worst would see the club ambition being realised buy all. This is not knocking the club. I'd rather see the heady mix of quiet expectation any day.

Lol but they are not crap points! My point of needing a striker is obvious and my point about Karacan and Howard is also justified, Jem offers a lot more and he's a defensive midfielder and thus shouldn't be scoring as much as Howard, who rarely hits the net or offers anything!

Apart from 4 or 5 assists in just over half the games Karacan has played. I make Karacan having one assist by the way. Notice I didn't say anything about strikers.

Howard certainly needs to chip in with a few goals. But it's early days yet. I'm quite happy having both of them on the pitch.
