Agree, got potential for a great game, certainly will be passionwise. Bothroyd is out as is Pratley for us. Will be interesting to see Bellamy in this. Sinclair to score in a 0-1 victory.

Maybe Brendan is a decent manager after all.

All I would say is that he came to Reading at an awful time, following the break up of SSC's team and some serious cloth cutting. In the same way, he arrived at Swansea at a very good time, following Martinez and Souza which is definitely a good time to join.

He definitely made mistakes at Reading, such as never playing Mills after £2mill, signing Cummings and trying a radical switch to 4-5-1 when it wasn't entirely necessary. The Tommy Smith saga was also a farce. At the same time he was unlucky with Nunt's injury.

It's hard to know. I think to put his success at Swansea entirely down to his predecessors would be wrong, in the same way that putting Coppell's success entirely down to Pardew's progress would be. In both cases it has definitely helped and been a good circumstance, but Rodgers has to take credit for his start at Swansea.

It's hard to know, maybe it was just the wrong time for him here. Maybe the wheels may yet fall off at Swansea in spectacular fashion. As somebody who questioned at the time whether sacking Brendan was the right call, this would make me a little happy as the idea of letting a good manager get away doesn't make me too happy.

Whether he's good or not, McDermott is doing a sound job here so I'm happy. I also prefer having a down to earth, humble manager instead of a Billy Big Bollocks.

Fair comment. I think a fair few managers would've had problems following SSC. Gotta start giving BR credit. Couldn't catch the game as overseas but the Swansea board is full of praise from a tactical standpoint - that's gotta be down to him. He definitely got a good gig but would Gary Speed, who was ahead of him according to many sources, have done so well?

His mistake at Reading was trying to change too much, too quickly. At Swansea he has inherited a team that has played passing football for years. It isn't really a surprise he is doing well there, but wasn't going to happen here. Look at the midfielders we have - they aren't comfortable enough passing the ball to make Rodger's brand of football a success here.

He wasn't right for us, but he is right for Swansea, and good luck to him.
