Have you ever been attacked at a game?

Following the news of a 78 year-old Notts County fan being hit with a brick at Molineux last week - has anyone been attacked at an away ground or, heaven help us, attending a match at the hallowed Madejksi Stadium itself?

I got punched outside the MadStad once by a Rotherham fan who was pushing a wheelchair in Lou and Andy style. We'd beaten them 2-0 and I left a little early at which point he started screaming "CHEATS CHEEEEEATS" at me. I laughed which appeared to anger him as he walked over and lamped me. No real harm done.

I also once had to run through some back roads near Vicarage Road pursued by a handful of local reprobates. tbf my mate ran first and it was about 4 on 1 so valour went straight out of the window on that occasion.

After the Swansea game at Elm park, they seems a little upset and were throwing bottles around.

A m8 of mine used to sell sweets in the trays at Elm Park. He got kicked in the nuts by a Wolves fan when he was selling them in the away end.

I have been attacked at Birmingham away circa 92 when Gilkes scored with 5 to go to win 0-1 and stop them getting in the play offs .(tbf the mentler more than made up for it)

Also Man City 1-1 away when Holzman scored but can't remember the year (poss 95???)

Man City i had colours on, Birmingham my mate had colours on, so never wore them since.

Coffee and coins on the head at the Wolves playoff semi BEFORE the game, although of course the Wolves fans all deny anything ever happens there and it must have been made up.

when cardiff and millwall game to mad stad in early days it was easy for them to come round practically outside east stand.

Remember bricks being thrown and an actual Millwall fan started chasing my mate with an.....Umbrella

Got hit over the head with a broken bottle by a hoolie in a pub in Smethwick before the WBA match in 1994. Wrong place at the wrong time really.

Got punched in the face by a member of the Norfolk Constabulary whilst attempting to enter the field of play after Dylan Kerr's equaliser (for 3-3) at Carrow Road in 1995.

Threatened by Port Vale fans in 1993 and got laughed at by a copper when we asked for assistance.
Nearly got hit by a 6 inch bolt at Charlton .

Never in the stadium but been attacked at Mansfield, Swansea, Newport all away in the 70's, scarf nicked at home match in the 70s, hit in the face on Tilehurst Rd v Bristol Rovers in '85 after a late Reading winner so I'm on quite a decent run of 25 years un-thumped currently.

A few but never at the Mad Stad. Mostly on the Southbank in the 80's Oxford Millwall both Bristol's. The best being Pompey a Easter bank holiday game in the early 80's. I foolishly made the mistake of celebrating Reading taking the lead which lead to me being set upon by a load of skinheads. I ended up on the deck being kicked in the head stamped on for what seemed like an etenity until the police intervened. A broken rib, fractured jaw and multiple bruising, for my pains. I was taken to the Berks were my mum later picked me up saying I was never allowed to go to football again.... Still we won 2-0

Nope, never felt physically threatened at or around a football match. Only time at a sports venue I have was walking back to Twickenham station from the Middlesex Sevens back in August and our group got chatting to some very drunk Welsh rugby fans. All was very jovial until one of our group did a (very good I thought) Welsh accent, and one Welsh chap jumped him and pinned him to a railing. It all got a bit pushy and shovey for a bit, but got home with my face intact.
