Why on earth are they using that horrendously coloured pre-50's coloured ball? It's not snowing is it?!

i have to say that however much i hate all things Manchester (Apart from Dicky's 40th earlier this year), the atmosphere generated by the FC United fans last night was different class, proper fans watching proper football in a proper stadium.

What's so "proper" about Spotland? I'm not having a dig at the place. It's fine for Rochdale's needs, but it's just three plain functional modern seated stands with an equally functional modern terrace behind the goal. If it was a new ground and looked like that, people would be slating it for being another soulless identikit modern stadium.

Agree on the other points though.

i mean close to the pitch and a lot more personal than our stadium for example. Of course id prefer London Road on a standing terrace, anything is better than our Spacker Bowl.

It's probably about a couple of yards tighter to the pitch at most, but obviously we have the league's worst stadium, worst fans, worst stewards, worst food, worst beer, worst chairman, worst pitch, worst air, worst sun-in-your-eyes, worst nearby wind-turbine, worst RG postcode etc etc
