There's no way Gylfi had 180 chances last season, that's 4 a game for him alone and there were times last season that the whole team didn't even have 4 chances in a game

Wycombe Royal No those stats aren't "chances" they are shots. Therefore they include shots from 30 yards which is not a "chance", and it doesn't include chances that don't result in a shot (for example when a ball is played across the 6 yard box and a player fails to connect or if a player is through on the keeper and the keeper smothers the ball).
But Snowball won't understand that........

Snowball The OS says "shooting", I meant shots and headers. Starting to attempt to add in someone sliding in and just missing a cross is nigh on impossible.

What did he do? Pretend to thrown a snowball in honour of his No.1 fan?

Exactly that is why your stats are misleading. A shot from 30 yards is not a chance, whereas as a playing running through on goal who mis controls and the keeper smoths is a chance, just as a player failing to connect with a cross that he should have connected with is also a chance. You add those sort of chances in to Shane's stats (which you can't becuase the data isn't available) and he will look a lot less "deadly".
As you have been told so many times before stats don't tell the whole story especially when the stats aren't even there to show what you want them to.

I am using "chance" poorly to mean "shots and headers", but from now, chastened, I will call them "shots"
GYLFI WASTES TOO MANY "POSSIBILITIES" BY SHOOTING FROM DISTANCE WITH A CONVERSION RATE THAT IS HOPELESS.

Wycombe Royal I suppose he could have always tried to retain possession, lose the ball and given the opposition a chance to counter attack. That would have helped his stats because at least they wouldn't have shown up as missed shots.

And a shot from 30 yards that the keeper catches easily, DOESN'T allow a counter-attack?
And when did a Gyfli-quality player start losing possession all the time? That doesn't follow, does it?

Royalee Hooray, a goal from open play at long last...unfortunately I and others can see past one fluke.

Wycombe Royal I'm not convinced that goal against Derby was from 28 yards........(the BBC live text say it was inside the area but I don't agree with that either).
