Two points dropped. Should have taken our chances, Cardiff deserved their point, regardlessof how much of a diving poofter Jay Bothroyd is.
With regards to the goal, I haven't seen it again, they say on the radio it's inconclusive.
On to Norwich, let's hope McDermott doesn't cock up the substitutions then.
And when are we going to kill off a team instead of sitting back?

Before the game I would have snapped the arm of of anyone who could guarantee me a point but in the cold light of day it now feels like two points dropped.

Regardless of how much of a guess the lino made, the fact is that had Church or Long taken either of their chances we would have been out of sight and 3 points in the the bag.

Hope we keep the same formation for Saturday!!

One final point for Mr D'Urso - you getting in the way once is just about excusable but any more than that is just inept

To be fair to McD, tonight is probably the first time his subs have had such a negative impact on the game.

Seriously, how the f*ck was that donkey HRK ever going to improve on hunt?

Well that was quite a game, at times we looked really up for it and played some fantastic football, creating some gilt edge chances that only poor finishing and some great saves stopped us from taking 3 pts. At other times we were clueless and squandered possession and looked fragile and nervous.

Cardiff also had some good chances that they fluffed, but Fed really only had to make one real save right at the end. It could have been 5-2.

From where I was it was never a goal, but blame the lino not D'Urso. He seemed set on giving Cardiff every decision so it was no surprise really. I still have an irrational hatred of Bothroyd and Chopra, both good players but they resort to gamesmanship, winding players up and conning the ref to give soft decisions. A better standard of cheats than any of our team.

If we keep playing like that we will be fine.

one of those that could have gone our way. If i were a Cardiff fan and it was not given id be equally annoyed, as it was definately a goal paused and in full speed for me.

Going by my instinct at the top of Y25, not in. My view was obscured by Federici at the point of landing though so I'm unsure. The ball seemed to bounce forward rather than back hence my initial comment. I also wanted to start the thread.

This.

I was pretty much in line with the lino when he gave the decision so how he could be 100% sure when he's 12 yards away from the goal line is beyond me.

Was listening to BBCRB on the way home and DeLOLLOLor said he'd seen it on a frame by frame replay and that too was inconclusive.

All adds up to some "genius" guesswork by the lino.

i dont think there was a person in the ground who thought it was in at the time, including me, but having seen it you can see why it was given. Played well much to take from the game, although i thought the last 15 screamed Antonio.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible for the ball to hit the crossbar and post and also cross the line. It just can't happen.

Oh, and as for the Watford comparison - it's funny how people (not necessarily you, handbags) forget that up until the "phantom goal" we were by far the better team. Additionally, we had an even more blatant penalty appeal turned down (in injury time) than the penatly appeal that was given for our equaliser.

So, in essence, the "phantom goal" actually hindered us rather than helped us IMO.

i will add i dont buy this 100% sure crap either, the reason why football is football is because its a game of interpretation not facts. Just imagine if Penalties/free kicks/goals/corners etc went by this theory, the game would be an utter shambles.
