Bristol City Lose £11m.

Losses will be covered by the board short term.

New ground under threat due to council approving a new "green" are where ground was proposed. Watch this space!!!

Just wondering... what sort of state will Middlesbrough be in if they don't get promoted this year?

Their Chairman must be quaking in his boots - the rumour was the following was done to pay for the ground:

Hargreaves Lansdown co-founder Stephen Lansdown has made over £58m after selling a 2.86 per cent stake in the firm.

Lansdown, who co-founded the firm with Peter Hargreaves in 1981, sold 13,560,843 ordinary shares at 429p. The transaction leaves Lansdown with 95.5m ordinary shares, which represents 20.1 per cent of the shares in issue.

In the financially lucrative premier league, if Bolton lost 34M in a year, what do they think they will achieve that will make them profitable?

Dunno if it's an achievement to sell players, but Gary Cahill and Johann Elmander are names being touted around for moves away so Bolton can reduce their wage bill.

They don't - they can't compete in the financial arms race with the bigger clubs, but the financial trap they're caught in means that they know if they get relegated they'll go bust, and so they keep spending just to stay up and to stay in existence.

Could that be the same Gary Cahill that we "should have signed" in the PL?

Have you not heard of ammasing huge debts, refusing to pay most of it leaving local business's fckd, then carrying on as if the whole thing never happened? Its the Premiership model you know.

That's a pretty staggering level of debt for Bolton but I think most of it is owed to the owner who one presumes is reasonably comfortable with it and isn't going to start calling it in (in a similar way as we owe Madejski and Chelsea owe Abramovich).

To lose that amount of money in one year, a third of their debt, seems odd too.
