soggy biscuit Sounds like Van Der Vaart to Spurs is almost done, though one rumour floating around that they got the paperwork in too late

They need to look a little further into Harry's envelope.

Ferris Van der Vaart to Spurs now confirmed. Great signing

Is van der Vaart really such a great signing for Spurs, or just a very similar option to those already available to them? Delicate, tricksy attacking midfielders aren't exactly rare at WHL right now.

U get the feeling they were desperate to sign a top class forward and the RVD was a last min fall back. Where would u play him? He's a number 10, can't see Spurs playing that role in the Prem.

Just how many midfielders do Spurs need?
From memory they have:-
Lennon
Palacios
Jenas (or has he gone?)
O'Hara
Huddlestone
Krankjar
Modric
Bentley
Bale
Santos
Now they also have Van Der Vart and had enquired about Parker and Pienaar.

Except he wasn't, was he? Bayern have flatly denied any such claim. Not that Harry would stoop so low as to openly lying on an economic matter...

How old is he now, 30? Can still probably perform at this level? If he can stay out of prison.

*No wiki* but from memory he has always scored goals, and certainly at this level. If he's fit, it's difficult to think that a few months inside will stop him scoring 15 goals or so this season, which could be critical for Coventry.

Can't be long until a wealthy English club throws money around to get David de Gea. Man Utd the latest in a long time of clubs rumoured to be watching him.

19 year old Atletico Madrid keeper. Regularly pulling off man of the match performances. Every man and his dog is reported to be scouting him.

La Liga does seem to have some top draw keepers right now. Diego Alves of Almeira is one I thought would have moved on to bigger and better things by now.

Didn't agree personal terms.

Top class goalkeeper. Strong at everything, very calm.. bound for greater things. They should offer him more money.

Peter Schmeichel says he is a joke though 8)

Probably had something to do with it

I just don't know whose opinion to trust. Ideal or Peter Bolesław Schmeichel?

Ideal Whether or not he is good enough remains to be seen, as there's really no judging that based on him playing in the Norwegian league.

Is there room on this page for you to post a third opinion which contradicts both of these?
