Thomas L'Heureux
No Fixed Abode Chelsea 4 - 1 Spartak

Took my old boy last night and sat in the Matthew Harding stand which was lucky considering how poor the first half was. Chelsea turned it on a bit after the break and we had a great view of the goals. Props to Anelka for scoring from that angle, too.

I think we were in 2nd Gear first half. Don't sit in the back couple of rows of the Matthew Harding stand lower tier. Can't see the goal at the far end if you stand up.

We were in row EE which was fairly near the back but we could still see the opposite goal. Stank of B.O. though m8 I must say.

Matthew Harding

He definitely should've took the train, m8.

Chelsea 2 - 1 Zilina

Could Chelsea go for an unprecedented 6 wins out of 6?

I'm not expecting it to be honest as Ancelotti will surely put out a young team for this one as we've wrapped up 1st place in the group. Although Marseille will probably field a weakened side as well.

LOL at Real Madrid deliberately getting 2 players sent off to use up their suspension. It wasn't even subtle

Yep, even getting Ramos to take a goal kick so he had an opportunity to waste time. Best punishment (although it won't happen) would be for UEFA to withhold their bans until the next round.

Great penalty by Rooney and proper celebration with the fan running on the pitch

I think he has been studying Shane Long's penalty technique while he has been away from football.
His other shooting tonight was a bit like Shane Long's as well.

Thought Rangers would at least make a game of it in the second half. But no, they persevered with one up front even though they had to win. Looked like they were playing for a Europa league spot and to keep the score down.

That's nearly two hours I'll never get back.

I think you'd be in am minority of world football fans if you thought that was boring. It was the alamo.

Delightful to hear John O'Shea being booed for no other reason but for his nationality....

Didn't hear o'shea boo'd , and if you check the gersforum.co.uk and check the thread he has about an interview he gave, a lot of them were saying fair play, good words, etc

Not really sure where you've pulled that from, rooney was the main target of any boo's.

Maybe, and if you weren't a neutral, but it was just I was expecting it not to be one sided and was hoping for a bit more of attacking intent from Rangers who had to win. Particularly given the Valencia score, racing in to an early 3-0 lead, meant they could throw caution to the wind as 3rd spot was as good as secured.

Uefa is investigating the behaviour of the former coach of Romanian champions CFR Cluj.

Sorin Cartu, who was only appointed in September, was sacked on Thursday after smashing up the dugout during his team's 1-0 Champions League loss at FC Basel on Tuesday.
