...and there it is --Norwich lose away to Tranmere on Good Friday, which reduces their season's possible maximum points haul to 103 and makes dear old RFC's 106-point run of 2005/6 safe for another season

Seven games left for Norwich, and that's 15 percent of a season

Leeds (remember them?) have seen their season's max pared down to 95, and they've got 8 more to play beginning tomorrow

Still early days, but looking good on the 106 Watch.

After 18 games Reading had 41 pts, but we won our next 8 games after that.

Only QPR look likely to threaten it, currently on 38 pts, which equates to 97 points over 46 games.

Stelling mentioned on Saturday that some team (must be non-league) had equalled our record of 13 wins from the start of the season. Anyone else catch it and know who it was?

I think it was Bangor. But I am not 100%. Them being Welsh, if they did win we would still have the English record :D

That's it, Bangor City, in the Welsh Premier League.

According to Wikipedia, there's only 12 clubs in that division, so they must have already done the double on some of the other clubs  .

I think Bangor is correct but think it's the Northern Irish lot not the Welsh.

Been to a few of Bangor's home games at Farrar Road this season and a very enjoyable experience for £7 plus £2 for kids! Standing on terracing, good atmosphere etc...

My father in law goes to all the home matches aswell.

They could break the record away in a localish game at Airbus Broughton on friday night but I can see the run ending away at Llanelli on a week Saturday.

What makes the run more remarkable is the other three teams they are realistically competing against for the Welsh Premier - TNS, Llanelli and Neath are full time professional outfits and Bangor are part time. I can't quite work that out though as Bangor are getting crowds around the 1,000 mark (more than double any other club's average gates) and struggle to keep afloat on a part time basis but Neath who get 300 watching them at best have a few ex-pros playing for them including Lee Trundle at the moment. TNS only average 300 as do Llanelli, where does their money come from?!

Have Bangor played Aberystwyth Town yet? An old school friend of mine manages them. Can you give him some grief and tell him I still haven't forgiven him for blazing about 30 gift wrapped chances I laid on for him over the bar against Aberporth in 1985ish.

Looks like Bangor will have 14 wins in a row, currently 8-1 up at Port Talbot.

As long as port Talbot play for the draw and don't leave themselves open going for the win

6ft, Bangor played away at Aberystwyth at the weekend (live on S4C!). It was 1-1 and the record stopping at 14, with a minute to go and Bangor down to ten men having had their goalkeeper sent off. They scored twice through their best player, a youngster called Jamie Reed to win 3-1 and extend the run to 15.

Your mate would have been pig sick on Saturday night

I don't think Bangor are due to play again in the league until Boxing Day at home which hopefully I'll go to !
