Favourite "old skool" Reading chant

by T.R.O.L.I. » 11 Dec 2010 21:33

Following on from Jerry St Clair's thread - time for a bit of nostalgia. So, post up your favourite pre-Madejski Stadium chant.

Could it be "Who's our Polish international", "Tutti Frutti, Martyn Booty", "Fcuk off Mark McGhee", "Run, run, run, Gilkesy" or another?

The floor is yours!

I'm sure the guests at RL's party were enthralled to hear our rendition of it too!

Almost as much tumbleweed as the time Mr Angry and I sang it in some random Cardiff back street pub on the eve of our playoff final loss to Walsall in 2001

Anyone else count the number of Rays there to make sure the General had got it right? No? Just me then.

For hairs standing on the back of my neck it has to be oxf*rd off Mark McGhee. The whole of the South Bank stood singing it as loud as possible. Fantastic. Especially 'that' game against Wolves where we stuck it to them with two late goals from Archie. I must have ended up about 15 rows in front and 7 to 8 to the right. I miss those moments.

One of my earlier memories of EP was "Shaka what's the score"

Also a fan of "bring on the German" to Hartenburger and "He's fat and he beats his wife" to Gazza
