Looks like the end is nigh for Windsor & Eton. Tomorrow, if it goes ahead could well be their last game before going into liquidation.

Hmm, I wonder why CVA is no longer an option (it seems). And why Mr Stott appears to have withdrawn his interest. Presumably the creditors won't play ball and the vision / funding for the ground improvements etc. have not come to fruition, hence meaning there is no viable plan to take things forward.

I guess it would be ironic that I stepped off the money-go-round of pro football a couple of years ago to give my support to a non-league team who then go broke due to total financial mismanagement.

It would also be somewhat ironic that, having only missed 1 home game in the last 2 years, I can't make the game tomorrow.

Oh well, it's been an enjoyable 2 years....

Are Reading Town playing at home this weekend? Seeing as how the weather has cocked up the RFC vs SU game I'd be very tempted to go along.

Naah - RTFC were due to play away at Cadbury Heath (nr Brizzle) in the 3rd Round of the FA Vase but like most of tomorrow's NL programme its been called off.

There are very few 'local' matches still currently ON.

At this moment there are a few 'possibles' in the Southern league incl the game at Stag Meadow (v Hednesford) - presumably a few clubs are hoping for a bit of a thaw tomorrow AM ; I also think Basingstoke and Maidenhead (both at home) are yet to declare.
NOTE Basingstoke are having a Pitch Inspection late PM/early eve and will post news on their website. Photos posted on there don't suggest an optimistic outcome!
Maidenhead are inspecting at 10:00 AM tomorrow AM.

ALL but one game is OFF throughout the Ryman/Isthmian - Wealdstone - and they have an Inspection mid-morning.
Only 6 Vase ties are still on (out of 32)

I was going to post my usual Preview today but there are so few matches surviving OR LIKELY TO, I think I'll leave it 'til mid-am - when it may be a very short list indeed!

Only two games left in all of the Ryman divisions both of which have passed pitch inspections this morning:
Premier - Wealdstone vs Aveley
First South - Ramsgate vs Eastbourne

... and apart from these two, the only other games STILL ON following pitch inspections etc , in our 'local' area:

Southern Prem
Salisbury v DidcotTown
Windsor & Eton v Hednesford Town
Southern One Central
Ashford Town (Middx) v Slough Town

PS Wealdstone usually offer a 50% discount scheme if you turn up with an ST - so entry is £5 as opposed to £10 - mind you since they are the only NL game on in NW Lahnden their very small bar might get a bit packed!

Wealdstone have three bars so should be able to cope. It was certainly not overcrowded when they played Rotherham in the FA Cup last year.

..... hmmm only had one open when I went on a Monday night a month or so back. :?

I'd expect a deluge of Anoraks may have made them reconsider this PM.

Suspect that the hall had been hired out before the decision to switch to Monday evening games was taken. I was unable to go today for family reasons but see the gate (410) was around usual. Understand there were some tube problems which may have put off some casuals.

According to their forum Windsor & E have had a 'stay of execution' - 6 weeks to 'find' a solution...

... apparently they managed to start the League Cup Tie away at AFC Hayes last Tue but it got abandoned on about 40 mins.
Midweek NL programme virtually wiped out: only games surviving 'locally' at Bedfont Town, Hanwell, Ashford T (Mx) & Hayes & Yeading.

Doubt if many could have got there anyway - M4 was shut all evening!

... here's today's programme for 'local' NL clubs - I've included most of the southern part of the Trophy and Vase ties for info:-

Four Of Clubs Hellenic Prem : Binfield 8-0 Bracknell Town

Binfield were awarded a remarkable 4 penalties in this match (all scored).

Three of them were given in a 10 minute spell in the first half.

I'm not Bracknell's good luck charm. I've seen them play eight times, and the scores have been...

Bracknell 0 Reading Res 3 (Berks & Bucks cup)
Bracknell 3 Aldershot Town 3 (in their first season)
Bracknell 3 Egham 3 (went there after a Reading match at Luton was called off)
Bracknell 0 Barnet 3 (FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round)
Bracknell 1 Andover 1
Bracknell 0 North Leigh 9
Bracknell 1 Windsor & Eton 5
Binfield 8 Bracknell 0

Crazy result

No report on this yet but I think they were 3 down after 20, then conceded another 3 in the last 10, with one inbetween.

... hardly needs saying but ALL 'local' NL games OFF today.

(apart from maybe Beaconsfield - but rumour has it no-one can find anyone there to say one way or another - reportedly Hampton & R was off, partly cos the Ref could even get there to inspect it - so I doubt Lewes would have managed to get there either?

PS RTFC got well and truly battered midweek by STEP6 Cadbury Heath in the Vase (4-1) - apparently they even had the (in)famous Mr Spence turning out for them again.

Eyewitness account reports they were sheer undiluted garbage - no-one could keep their feet up front and the back four were invisible!

.... still nothing much to Review or Preview - almost ALL 'local' NL programmes have been wiped out for the last week or so :

- Woking managed to play W3-1 v Havant & W
- Windsor due to play H vs Truro on Thursday evening (30th) -

- might be some survivors amongst these this PM (Tue) in the CONF South - daren't check but these were still on as of yesterday = at least they'll be contending with water rather than ice/frost etc.

13:00 H&R v St Albans
Boreham Wd v Staines
Farnborough v Basingstoke
Havant & W v Dorchester
Maidenhead v Woking
Welling v Bromley

... will try and update in the next hour for so - if I haven't braved an early KO @ Farnham (which very much I doubt is on anyway  )
UPDATE its OFF

I did actually get to a 1/2 a match yesterday PM - think only 2 survived in the south within range - looked promising too: Fareham v Hamble in the Wessex Prem - took both the lads with me - good end-to-end 1st half - players came out for 2nd half - floodlights failed everybody went home.
