Troublesome Players

by Harpers So Solid Crew » 17 Dec 2010 17:23

I don't mean in the Team as such, but outside of the club, Lita comes to mind, and Bignall has to be a doubt, didnt we sack someone about Lamberts time for alledged drug taking?? And that fella from Colchester, who we sold on at a small profit.

Bignall was cleared of anything though, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time

Why I put him down as a doubt, better to avoid the places that might end up in trouble.

Byron Glasgow was sacked.

Billy Whitehurst was fairly troublesome

Dean Morgan I think he means.

And yeah it was Glasgow and Mclaren that were sacked for drug taking.

I thought he was was just lazy, rather than 'had issues'

I think even lazy is a bit harsh. He was signed from Kilmarnock as a striker, however, he was never a prolific striker and he struggled when he came here. It took some time to work out that he was better suited to playing out wide, and to be fair to him, he was a decent little player for us at Division 2 (League 1) level.

There was one occasion I remember him just giving up when chasing down a ball he was more than likely to win... You could see it in his eyes.

I did quite like him though...

Back in the 1970's I think Eamomn Dunphy caused problems in the dressing room - particularly the season we went down

Wasnt that when the tactic was him to loiter out wide left and the keeper was to just belt the ball as far forward as possible, JM's job was to chase after it, fecking useless tactic IMHO

The other players were probably worrying about what he was writing in his 'diary'.
