Well people call Armstrong Stretch

that's because "stretch armstrong" has an element of humour to it.

Elwood doesn't.

Maybe he's always miserable.

Best away day in a long time.
Feeling pretty rough this morning though :|

Federici - what a legend!

Looking forward to going to work on Monday!

Spoke to Derby fan after the game who sits at the opposite end to away fans. He said it was a clear penalty and he thought we had the ball over the line it was cleared with what I thought was off the line - not seen any highlights though, so no idea if it went in.

The highlight was probably Susie getting clotheslined by Steward after going on a mad run after Longys 2nd...

I'm perhaps going out on a limb here, but I have a suspicion that even a trickle of fans being as amused by "Elwood" as yourself is about as likely as the Venus de Milo joining a darts league.

When did I say it amused me? I can remember it, is all

On TV last night it was clear the defender pulled Longy. I'd only seen the light heel-clip.

Agreed it looked like the ball was over the line earlier.

Just watched the football league review.

Federici was insane. Deffinite MOTM performance from him. At least 4 top class saves.

I don't know what anyone else saw, but that was never a penalty. The only contact he made with Long was a light stroke of his chest. If that can bring a grown man down then fair enough.

Also that ball from McAnuff for the winner was incredible.

Uh oh. If Feds was as good as people are saying, this won't help us keep him in January and might make Liverpool more determined to get him again.

Won't stop us letting him go to the highest bidder in Jan though.

That arm across his chest was the reason for the penalty. Yes Long went down very easily, but any defender doing that in the box is just asking for trouble!

If a new contract isn't agreed in the next few weeks I cannot see that the Club could turn down any seven figure bid in January with their current mindset.

A very soft penalty but the professionals will say that they make up for those that aren't given.
Shane should have been booked for a dive out on the left but the ref gave us a free kick.
Good coverage by the Football League show-I wonder if they might one day change the format so that The Championship alone is covered in one show.

This was actually a really shit game, but hey its a win and Derby pubs are top notch. Great day out ending up with a pint back in The Brunswick with a very charming young lady called Suzie Royal.

So what was your reason for calling him Elwood, rather than perhaps L'wood, if remembering is so difficult?

What I thought. Just a matter of time, I think, and very good luck to him. He deserves a Prem gig.

Just would prefer it with us.

I was calling him L'wood for a while, then...

Isn't it nice talking about utter irrelevancies?

Like, the name ending wood is that QPR loanee bloke.

Agreed

And if Long had NOT gone down and then not scored this lot would scream at him
saying, "Why didn't you fall over, you dummy!"

Penalty. Won by Long. Fact

Penalty. Scored by Long. Fact

2-1 win away. Fact.

Get over it.
