They're a big club that expect to be top four, that's understandable considering their history and also recent history.

There is no 'to be fair to Roy'. Liverpool's league position is unacceptable, any other club that is used to finishing in the top four or five and in Liverpool's position would have had their manager sacked by now. Roy's days at Liverpool are numbered. Martin O'Neil will be in by February.

Putting all the blame on Liverpools current position on Hodgson is a bit unfair.
