While I agree with the morality of this, you can't argue with the stats and Benitez's reign brought them a European cup and consistent top 4 finishes. Hodgson started with plopping them into the bottom 3!

While I agree with the morality of this, you can't argue with the stats and Benitez's reign brought them a European cup and consistent top 4 finishes. Hodgson started with plopping them into the bottom 3!

Liverpool were a team in decline last season(even we beat them). Whoever took over really needed to start from scratch with only a handful of quality players. How much money did Benitez waste on appalling signings?
Hodgson has an excellent track record and is a decent man. If they are still struggling this time next year then fair enough sack him...the trouble is he won't be given that long.

Agreed. But if the players just won't play for you then the best manager in the world will fail.
