Norfolk Royal
tomrfcurz BBC say £20-30,000 so i dont know where this figure of £500k has come from. Plymouth's court date is only for £500,000 so would accept that in a heart beat and BWP is the sorta guy where if a Prem team comes in, he goes

See above your post. The BBC report must be a typo I would think. Surely Blackpool didn't expect to get BWP for 20K. That's ridiculous.

It is ridiculous but Holloway's fantastic and everyone loves him allegedly.

See video of goals for Southampton - around 5:00 there are two goals in that home game we had vs Southampton (I remembered correctly).

Plus for me is that unlike some of the other videos in the past of strikers linked with the club, most of these are very decent goals and not just defensive howlers.

LoyalRoyalFan Agreed. People want a new striker, then start being very picky. Wright-Phillips has pace, trickery and a decent goal record this season.

Agreed, depending on the cost.

Just the medical to pass now according to Peter Reid on Plymouth's official site he said:

"We've agreed terms and I'm led to believe the lad's agreed terms, so I think it's just in terms of a medical to pass and we go on from there."

Loved watching him play - natural talent, intelligent around the pitch, a proper footballer. I'm certain he will do well at Championship level if employed in a similar way that Reid did.

Good luck BWP - was good while it lasted.

He looks like some player on those You Tube shots.

Will be tough for Noel if he moves down the pecking order
and I would seriously worry about keeping Church "right'

I know it's only a You-Tube selection but he looks (in these clips)
as being fed rather than doing work (like Noel has been setting up Shane)

That may be because we are seeing his goals. Maybe another player's goals
would show BWP the provider.

But if he's as good as he looks on YT and via his stats and we keep the squad
free of major injuries, this guy looks like he could help us genuinely challenge
for an automatic spot. Now all we need is Nicky Shorey back, and....

On a football basis BWP is a really good player and would be a useful addition to the squad. However I do not believe it completes our striking options as we still need something different - harking back a few year - a Jimmy Quinn type for instance.

Obviously a real knee jerk reaction by Reading FC. £300K could prove expensive for an injury prone striker. BRP has MAJOR KNEE problems and has to be nursed through playing, especially when the pitches are frozen.

Hopefully this will be picked up by the medical. If not then Royals may well find he sits out a lot of games during January/February. Usual cheapo approach by the Madman.

Do not be surprised if this deal falters at the medical stage. Real Facts from the main mannnnnnnnnnn

Until we see SJM grinning as he shakes hands with the player after signing the contract I won't be able to help myself thinking of the final chapter of the Tommy Smith saga.

If BWP has played for Plymouth recently and could've played yesterday but RFC chose not to, that suggests there should be no problems passing a medical, does it not?

It's a bonus for Reading FC, the vultures have picked up BWP on the cheap. It's a lucky signing really, because in normal circumstances no one in their right mind would sell their top scorer for £300k.

I think it's terrific business for RFC personally. Austin would have been better but you've got no chance of RFC stumping the money up for him. This is as good as it possibly could have got.

I can't see us signing Khiz on a free (unless his wages are low enough for Mr Mad) - he's not even getting in the team at the moment - and would be very expensive cover if he wants Prem standard wages - he'll go to a lower Prem club or someone like Leeds/Cardiff I reckon. Which is a shame if it happens, as I think he's excellent. And, at the moment, I'd play him with Pearce and give Pearce the captain's armband.
