Focher i may well write to the club with a new proposal:

PRIORITY FOR FA CUP TICKETS

Produce any ticket stub from the triumphant Simod Cup run and you're in. Simod Cup flat caps or sun hats free pie.

 I went to three of the Simod Cup games so its a big agreed from me.

MmmMonsterMunch I don't really see how its any of your fcuking business what games I choose to attend to be quite frank.

I don't give a f*ck what games you decide to attend, pal, so long as RFC sorts STH's such as myself who bothered to attend the WBA game with a priority ticket for Stevenage.

Seeing as I am a STH and have been for many years I can get a ticket just as easily as you then can't I you patronising idiot. Sorry if that sticks in the craw.

Just out of curiousity, why didn't you go yesterday?

A fair number of season ticket holders didn't bother to go, and that's their choice - I've no real problem with that - but even though yet another tie v WBA hardly sets the pulse racing, it's not a less attractive game than a league game v Doncaster or someone like that, yet I doubt you'd contemplate giving that a miss.

The FA Cup doesn't have the aura of the past, when a cup tie between two clubs would get a bigger crowd than a league game would, but I am still puzzled as to why so many don't seem to give a toss about it any more.

Plus-fecking-one. If you have the 1992 Rumbelows Sprint Challenge on VHS you get two tickets.

Those of us who have been to Freight Rover Trophy away group stage games deserve priority, and a free mental health check.

Looks like it's just me left cursing Pardew for losing yesterday, then ...

Agreed about the relative attractiveness of the two ties, however it's an easier decision to miss a game which you don't already have a ticket for.

I'd imagine a lot of it is to do with teams fielding weakened teams.

Personally, I still like the FA Cup however I chose not to go yesterday for a few reasons. Really enjoyed our run last year and will definitely be in attendance at Broadhall Way.

Fair f*cks. They will bring the Royalty Points into play, rightly so, but is it beyond the wit and imagination of RFC to first reward those with a high level of Royalty Points who also chose to attend the WBA game?[/quote]

Really don't see how that could be administered easily. The only thing to do is perhaps introduce a Cup season ticket or something to guarantee Cup games but I still think that's wrong as well. People can't necessarily commit to every round & IMO it is harsh that an STH faces the possibility of not getting a ticket for a cup match just because they won't commit to every round.

You can't do it without p1ssing someone off & so I do think the current system is the fairest way. If people want to be sure they can get FA Cup tickets then they need to watch RFC play in other comps to build their points up. That's hardly unfair is it?

And lets not forget the cup tickets are generally a lot cheaper than league tickets so it's not right that fans who only attend the cheaper cup games get tickets before those who invest in RFC all yr around & also pay more for their tickets.

Just looked at the Stevenage forum, id say the best adjective to describe their feelings on the draw is 'underwhelmed'

No surprise there.

Look at how underwhelmed our fans were with WBA at home yesterday (or Burnley at home last season).

If I've paid upfront for a season ticket then it stands to reason I am less likely to miss a league game as I've already paid for it.... Also did WBA the previous 2 times so didn't really fancy going yesterday. Not been to Stevenage before & like the older grounds so a lot more up for that one.

PEARCEY Listen you bunch of fairies. I went to Cheltenham v Reading in the FA Cup 3rd round in the 1990's so that means I have priority over any of those geezers that showed up yesterday. Nah nah ne nah nah.

I went to both. AND the Cheltenham replay :)

The club won't be expecting much demand for this so I'd be very surprised if they didn't have very coarse Royalty Point bands, 1301, 901, 501, 201 were used for Donny, 500 tickets and they still got to general sale.

But by the sound of the desperation for tickets on this thread they need to start at 1700 points.

Lol at anyone who thinks that attending the WBA game should be a factor in ticketing for the next round.

Royalty points are the published method of ticket allocation. You can't just change the rules on a whim.

I didn't go yesterday because I couldn't be arsed and WBA aren't a glamour club like Man U or Newcastle - and had no plans to go to Stevenage but I don't know I might go now, especially if I can deprive a real fan from a ticket

Anyone know what allocation Newcastle got for their tie yesterday with them?
