It was in the Financial Times. JM was in breach of the terms of the loan from Lloyds so had to sell up. Still holds a minority stake though.

It might be that the tests were more rigorous than normal due to his serious knee injury 18 months ago..........

Thanks I've read it now. I'd imagine the signing was held up as John Madejski was busy selling of his 400m property scheme.
Hes lot the cash he put in, which I understand is about 20m, but he keeps a small stake. I would imagine he needed his spare cash to appease the bank and to fund the interest.

Lets hope that now the weight of funding this is off his shoulders he'll be happy to blow cash on URZ again.

why do any transfer dealings involving reading seem to take so long? why couldnt he have played for plymouth on saturday as we dont seem in any busting hurry to get the deal done.next thing we,ll probably hear is that he,s short of match practice,or carrying a knock.

If he's already trained with us, he can't have any current injury problems - so can't see it is the medical that is holding things up.
