Players to make an impact this season

by andrew1957 » 17 Jan 2011 20:05

I have no problem with the signings of Williams and Morrison (if indeed they ever happen) but neither are likely to play for us this season. Even the guy (if we are after him) from Hereford is unlikely to step up this season.

Surely we need a striker who can actually contribute now - if for example - we have an injury to say Shane Long. We have such a great chance of at least the play offs and it would be such a shame if we blow it for lack of striking options.

Who's to say Williams and Morrison wont play this season? If they impress in training they I can see them seeing some football, not much perhaps, but some.

You also comment how we still need an experienced striker. McDermott has gone on record as saying he wants another as well as Williams!

Watch this space, as they say.

Stand by what I said above. I will be very surprised if either Williams or Morrison start a game for us this season.

Morrison will, Williams won't. With suspensions and injuries, Morrison is much, much more likely to play imo.

Williams will hopefully go out on loan somewhere.
