Really really disappointed with that - was hoping we'd have a cup tie on the 19th as I can't go, and didn't want to miss the Watford game...

That means we'll be in draw for quarter finals then!

Why is the Chelsea v Everton replay not arranged for the 8th or 9th February?

The Royals will await confirmation of a date for our fifth round FA Cup tie away to Everton or Chelsea.

The two Premier League sides must replay their fourth round match, and because of international call-ups and Chelsea's Champions League commitments, that replay is currently not scheduled to take place until Saturday 19th February, the official date for the fifth round.

We are therefore set to face the winners at a later date, and our npower Championship home game with Watford on 19th February could remain unchanged.

Please note that this information remains provisional at this point, and we will update our supporters with confirmed details as soon as we can. In addition we will publish specific ticket details when we have them, which will most likely be after the Everton / Chelsea replay has taken place.

The draw gives the Royals a chance to claim a further Premier League scalp, having knocked out Liverpool, Burnley and West Bromwich Albion in the last two seasons, as well as pushing Aston Villa all the way in last season's historic run to the quarter finals.

Good to see the magic of the cup is still with us.

What, midweek? Why not just play the games on the next weekend? So 26th/27th?

As they'll run out of dates before the end of the season to get all ties played. Man City/Notts C v Villa is going to have the same problems.

Yes there's a bloody pointless friendly in Denmark for England on 9th Feb, this being the case I would suggest that other replays are also going to be delayed e.g. ManC v Notts Co, Bolton v Wigan etc.

One would therefore think that the FA would push replay week back to w/c 14th Feb, forcing the Chelsea v Fulham game to be pushed back to the Saturday. Oh forgot you can't do that as SKY runs the PL doesn't it.

Could be 6th Round day or about 8th March before we get our thrashing.

Anyway it's a pretty crap tie in my opinion. And the whole 5th Round draw is pretty awful as it more or less guarantees an all Premier Quarter Final. Dull dull dull.

I would hazard a guess at either 26th Feb or 1st/2nd March however Chelsea already got league commitments on both fixtures which are live on TV (latter being Man Utd at home)
