Snowball Answer me this (the required answer is yes or now) - do you get points for being obtuse and ignoring explanations?

You, once again, have the cheek to call another poster "obtuse".

Answer me this (the answer required is a yes or no) - do you get points for winning or drawing cup matches?

Is a simple "yes or no" answer beyond you?

Do you EVER listen to anybody else?

Seriously, just put him on ignore and make yourselves happier and the board a better place.

That way threads that he talks nonsense on won't descend into statistical method analysis rather than, for example, whether Leigterwood is actually any good or not.

Well, at least that's one more person who won't complain about "ppg".

Snowball - have you thought about starting a blog? It would allow those of us who appreciate your providing stats to the board to do so without having to wade through people having the same moan every.single.time., as well as giving you more of an excuse to add your own analysis and interpretation.

I have plenty of blogs, but none on football.

But Wimb and Co would miss me.

I don't mind complaints. It's the dumb, repeated complaints about the same things, when they already know the answer...

I was teaching at a writing conference once, and there was a classic moaner in the front. They were unpublished because it was a conspiracy etc etc.

Then someone politely raised the hand...

Yes?

I was just wondering, this person said. Do they get together beforehand and make plans?

Pardon? I said.

Well, he said, in every lecture, there's always one...

With Elwood Playing

The Undefeated Run Continues, and he scores again!

H 0-0 Leeds United
H 0-0 Coventry City
A 2-1 Derby County
H 4-1 Bristol City
A 1-1 Hull City
H 2-1 Burnley
H 1-0 WBA FA CUP
A 3-0 Doncaster
H 1-1 Hull City
A 2-1 Stevenage (Scored)
A 2-2 Cardiff (Scored)

Played ELEVEN Undefeated - W6 D5 18-8 GD 10

If these were all league games it would map to 23 points from 11 games = "2.09 points per game" = 96 point season

League games only P9 W4 D5 L0 15-7 GD=8 17 Points from 9 = 1.89 ppg extrapolating to an 87 Point season

AND, AS A MATTER OF INTEREST,

EXCLUDING THE QPR GAME,

If Elwood plays the other 17 games and we maintain this (League Only) of 1.89
in those games, we would have 42 + 32 = 74 Points, and a GD of +25

PLUS anything we get from the QPR game

Top game from Legs.. pleased I've finally seen him in dominant form in more than the one game. Really like Karacan, but in order for us to play the sort of football I'd like us to, I think he'd be the one who had to make way for a creative passer (Howard being the only option right now).

Would love to see a midfield of Karacan and Legs with Sig in the hole. We'd need a different striker in all probability, though Long's hot enough at the moment that he could probably do anything.

snowball wants to have his babies... that's enough to make me cautious. And I've not seen most of his best performances - Burnley, West Brom, Donny. Only seen him play particularly well in the Brizzle and Cardiff games.

Yes, I suppose he's proved his ability to judge players with all that nonsense about Long coming good eventually. I thought you'd put him on an ignore list though? I think I've read you saying that about 3 times now.

You're an IDIOT. END
Legs or Ledge, no other nicknames. Elwood just sounds gay, realise you're in the minority, and concede.

Snowball is nothing near an idiot. He contributes more to this portal than 90% of us. I still like Ledge and cringe when I hear 'Elwood'. Horses for courses. Although Elwood was a Blues Brother and we are the Blue Army so maybe it fits.

Nah, still like Ledge much much better.
