Is that legit as an Anglicised spelling? I know the 'd' in his name isn't the standard 'd' that we all know and love, but is it legit to substitute it for an 'o' instead?

Very good article.

Can't imagine Reading would be number one on a sports journalists things to write about, he's actually bothered to research things and made a nice different article. A job well done.

My guess is that, because the real character looks a little like an "o", there's been an error made in transcription. To be fair, that's about the only fodder for the "media don't like us" thread in the whole article.
