its a dissappointing result! didnt play anyway near our best! but we are still in with a shout of the play offs one results isnt going to ruin the season!! 2 loses in 15 games is a good return!! there are plent more points to play more!!

Overall I thought the performance was poor, as said before a lot of hoofball, just giving it back to them, very litle creativity, but more than that I thought that this really showed that we are very week in the squad, we have the numbers yes but there is no one who can come off the bench that you feel will change things, although Manset uhmmm he is going to ok. Clearly a manufactured QPR will go up, but they didnt look any great shakes, they are buying there way to the Premiership and will need a reat deal of surgery when they get there, in all honesty quite unimpressed with them.

Church--------6 one shot, which was straight at Kenny, needs something to kick start his season

Manset--------7 Short cameo, he is going to be a regular very soon, strength, power just what Long needs
HRK-----------5 Done nothing, he is easilly worked out and at the moment very much a "one trick pony"

Another crud match to add to the pantheon of boring fixtures between Reading and QPR. This also keeps up our excellent record against teams in the top six - played 9 won 0, gr8 work lads Snowball will be pleased!

On Tuesday we played enterprising football, got the ball in decent areas and caused Cardiff all sorts of problems. This evening we managed zero shots on goal in the second half against ten men and this is the second time this season QPR have outplayed us with a man less . QPR had the three best players on the park in their midfield, Faurlin, Routledge and Taarabt. Our best player in the middle of the park is a QPR player who can't even get in their team. Says it all. The hootball tonight was dire, disinteresting to watch and utterly ineffective starting at the backwith captain marvel Mills toe-punting it forward at every opportunity and ably supported by Karacan who found a hooped shirt with every desperate pass - sadly, 90% of the time it was a man in green and white hoops. We had no quality and once again Kebe looked as disinterested as he has consistently been since his injury. Bon voyage in the summer, methinks.

Still, we're on course for a top ten finish which is a gr8 effort considering we have sold basically everyone worth selling. And at least we got a nice article in the Guardian

FIRST HALF

When these sides walked out and lined up I thought even then that QPR had a look
of winners about them. They were big but just had a quiet arrogance about them.

But we set about them in the first half. They swamped the midfield and had better players
than we did but Tabb did OK and Karacan was magnificent.

I had been worried about how fit Shane Long would be but his speed was AWESOME. He was making
up ten yards and they weren't dealing with him at all. When he got to a ball before the keeper, how
did he manage that? he had great power, resilience, was good on the ball and with an excellent first
touch. (How TB could say he had the touch of a rapist is beyond me. He must have been watching Wales-England)

The Hunt of ten games ago alongside Long and we'd've gone in 2-0 up. But Church played.

A year ago Church was "the better footballer" and Long was being criticised for having a poor first touch.
Today Long was excellent but Church was not. He lost ball after ball when others didn't, and on one break
he should have fed Long who was onside but played the ball behind him. Had Long done that he would have
been pilloried. One lovely chest down for Church and Church blasted a great first-time shot, sadly straight
at Kenney in the QPR goal.

QPR had the midfield class but we matched it (almost) by very hard work and Karacan was 8+. Tabb looked
a bit rusty but slowly improved. He's a gutsy little man and should be playing first-team football for someone
if he can't get in our side.

McAnuff was playing very well and the defence looked solid. The HT stats showed QPR had zero shots on goal
to our three. But, as is too often the case, we tear into sides but fail to score and the mental energy is sapped
and a long second half is in prospect. (Not dissimilar to when games went wrong under Coppell)

Some professional fouling and gamesmanship from QPR. Their Number 3 was booked and got away with more fouls
but not long before HT one foul too many and QPR were down to ten men, deservedly so.

There was a dodgy moment when QPR broke and Mills body-checked his man. Yellow, but very close to red.

FK just before HT, shame we couldn't go in 1-0 up.

Did ok first half. Church should have scored, long should have scored. Same old reasons. Church shouldn't be in the squad let alone starting matches - it's like playing with ten.

We were terrible against ten men and that's the most disappointing thing. Big boot all night long for some reason? Toothless, but was always going to be like this when we didn't sign any quality with the sig money.

Need to take our chances, if we did this season we would be top two, instead we could be 13th by the end of the weekend.

Did all the grubby stuff pretty well as usual. Which is a total waste of time when in the next instant you just lump the ball aimlessly back to the opposition and concede the possession you win back.

Watched the last hour of the game in Pavs, so can't exactly claim to have been fully into the game, but from what I saw it was toilet, pure and simple hoofball at almost every opportunity and utterly no creativity in the midfield.

Had the feel of that Norwich game at the back end of 03/04(?) when we lost 1-0.

We're a very average side, the fact we are still in play-off contention shows how poor the league is. Our 106 team would put 5 past qpr most weeks tarabt included.

Don't get to as many games these days, quite looking forward to tonight.....Ah.

First half was ok but came alive with the red card, was a horrendous challenge and the guy had to go. Warnock got stroppy and actually made something worth watching. Because the product on the field wasn't the best. Lovely link up from Long (who was clearly half fit at best) and Church's snap shot and only contribution that wasn't totally useless forced a comfortable save from Kenny.

That was it.

2nd half zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz absolutely desperate in terms of quality. Hoof after hoof, aimless hopeful punts towards a half fit Shane Long and the useless Church was never going to work.

QPR easily dealt with it, Reading not even forcing a single shot on target second half and then on the break the extra bit of pace and quality and Routledge notched the winner.

some bizarre substitutions, horrified to see Church start again, the game itself was so poor it was unreal. QPR will definitely win the league but Reading were absolutely clueless tonight.

An utter yawnfest played out by a load of over paid average players in silence in a crap soulless ground. Mod£rn Football, no fanks.

I love skewed stats. The full picture makes an absolutely horrendous statistic look like merely a bad one.

EDIT: Now I think about it, I can count 2 losses to QPR and 2 to Swansea. At least 4. Perhaps horrendous after all.
