When you consider the money spent from others and where Reading are, it's no disgrace. They've definitely got a chance of being 6th. I half fancy them to win at Norwich to be honest.

Just tonight was poor, really poor 2nd half. Was there for the taking and Reading never turned up.

Lol at the pitch being ruined by the rugby. It doesn't stop Swansea at the Liberty and it didn't stop QPR out-passing and out-classing us tonight. Hugely disappointed. We were simply not good enough. Against 10 men we should have been playing with width but Kebe and McAnuff were non-existent in the second-half.
Don't blame the pitch nobbers. Look closer to home at our own players.
Can't believe we lost and the nightmare of Reading and Wales losing tonight has happened.
The weekend can fcuk right off.

it's not the way Reading do things. Team is competitive in the league. Didn't play well tonight. 2 defeats in 12 or something, they aren't doing too badly.

Only saw the second half, but we were god awful against a team far superior to us. Just goes to show what money can buy.

QPR have the best defense in the league and proved impossible for us to breakdown with their disciplined and organised back 4, and to be honest, in the second half they never looked like conceding. They were always likely to get a chance to nick it and that extra quality makes a difference as they only needed one chance.

Can't say I am too dissapointed though. We lost against the best team in the division that have spent a decent amount of money on quality players and have a good manager. It was men against boys out there tonight, but our young team will learn from this and come back stronger.

we were bad but QPR were awful.....they had ONE, yes ONE!! shot on target all game, we had 5...thats not men against boys

anyway, awful game that we shouldnt have lost...we lack ideas and cutting edge but created alot more chances than QPR, QPR passed better than us as out passing was poor.......2nd half was dire as we created nothing......we wer much better than QPR in 1st without being that good but could have had 2 or 3 without playing well

QPR were very lucky to win imo.....we deserved at least a draw.....feds could have gone home as he had nothing to do except their goal

For a side at the top, qPR were dreadful...Burnley were much better imo

Very disappointing.

Really not sure why we persist with Church, just had no confidence in him winning the ball, keeping the ball, or indeed knowing what a ball looked like.

Thought McAnuff had a decent game and Kebe was alright until he got mullered for the red card, seems he lost his appetite for the match after that.

Long penalty appeal is given 50% of the time but with the number of decisions (mostly correct) in our favour today I wasn't suprised it wasn't given.

One final note, and I know he was only half fit today, but wasn't it about this time last year Long went sh!t again?

Still our playoff hopes won't be won/lost against QPR it's the other teams in and around the playoff zone we need to beat.

No. Both QPR and Swansea have done the double over us.

SECOND HALF

I conned myself into believing we might do something but QPR came out to play
and totally dominated the actual football.

We huffed and puffed and played more and more long ball, got more and more desperate.
I said to the bloke on my left, "QPR are going to score first. You can smell it." They were
a different class, in all honesty. Either McDermott got his tactics wrong or the players
didn't do what they had been told.

Church didn't improve. Long kept trying but the team just didn't play second half. Tabb
and Karacan were still working their nuts off but Tabb was subbed for HRK and McAnuff
moved inside. McAnuff had a very good game but we didn't play as a team and Church and
Kebe went missing second half.

HRK looked quite weak (he's another who ATM seems to be going backwards). There was a time
when I thought he'd blossom into a top player, but I think he needs a season in League 1 to
get a lot of nineties, then MAYBE he'll be good enough. Can't say I'm convinced though.

Finally Manset was given a chance. This guy is going to be a very, very good player. He's a bit like
Antonio in that he looks slightly clumsy but the ball sticks to him. He would make a very good
Jason Scotland type target man in 4-5-1. He holds the ball up well, lays it off well and seems to
almost always be there when the ball comes into the box. Barring injuries the 1-2 strike force
will be Long-Manset very soon. I would play him fit rather than wait.

McAnuff had one sweet run and put a great through ball to Manset. I didn't get a great view so
I'm not sure if he was tackled or screwed up. Frankly I don't care, because he'll get sharper
and he has real quality. IF we keep Long (I seriously doubt we will), but if we do, Long
with Manset will be one of the top three strike partnerships in this division.

QPR pressed a little more and it was only a matter of time before they got a good chance. Their
big black striker who came on was proving a handful.

Their goal was a break and a quick through ball down the middle. (Why people blame Harte for
that I don't know. The midfield allowed it and Mills was caught for speed.) Otherwise Griffin
was solid all night, the CBs were very decent and Harte defensively was fine. Routledge is a
very good winner, and very fast but Harte and McAnuff contained him for 89 of the 90 minutes.

I don't think Federici had much chance with the goal.

All in all, QPR's midfield and attack is very good. Their defence was slow but we didn't exploit
our speed advantage after HT or our extra man. Taraabt is special and Griffin did very well.
Griff is a special player who probably deserves PotS (but won't get it.)

We were done for that extra bit of class in the end. QPR deserved to win (just)

7.5 Federici Almost nothing to do. Came out to feet very well once. Chased to the touchline well once.

8.0 Griffin. Did a very good job defensively, came forward well, close to MotM
7.0 Mills. Generally good performance but a poor body-check could've earned a red, and caught for the goal
7.5 Ingi. Very solid, once plenty of headers, one great run and crossed in their six-yard box!
7.5 Harte. Up against a classy and fast winner and did fine. Good passes. Good corners

8.0 McAnuff Good game. One of the few who played well both halves
8.0 Karacan. Worked very, very hard, full of energy, kicked to hell again. Should be proud of his perfomance.
7.5 Tabb. Slightly rusty but grew into the game. Won headers against 6-footers. Will be better.
7.0 Kebe. A few moments of brilliance first half but anonymous second half (8+6). Did get hurt in the red-card tackle *

8.0 Long The usual Shane and explosive, totally out-running the defence first half. Improved to a Prem-quality player **
6.0 Church. Confidence is gone, touch is gone. Would be under six except for one blistering shot.

6.0 HRK. You know there's something wrong when a player trots on and you think the side is weaker. Anonymous today. ***
7.5 Manset. Eager, a tank but with surprising skill. IMO we may have a seriously great player if we keep him for 3 seasons


* Kebe worries me lately. He looks either disinterested or tired a lot of the time. Maybe we just need a big win.
It's as though he's desperate to play at a higher level but thinks RFC is failing him.

** Hull, Cardiff and now QPR have targeted Shane with some cynical rough-stuff. He needs to play with a biggie like Manset
*** I really think HRK could do with a few weeks on loan and Antonio promoted.

Warnock said the following in his post match interview:

- They would have lost if they had 11 men

- Mills' last man tackle in the first half did not warrant a red card

- Whilst their sending off was a bad tackle, red was a bit harsh.

Find it hard to disagree with any of that. He also said Reading was an intimidating place to come. And that this was one of the best win's in his career. He loved that win, absoloutley loved it. Which just makes the loss even worse.

A lot of my frustration and anger from tonight comes from jealousy towards QPR, I just find it so unfair that they are capable of attracting players like Taarabt and Routledge, likewise Cardiff with Bellamy too.

Nevermind, let them enjoy their success, Im sure many teams felt like this towards us in the 106 season.

Exactly how I feel about supporting a club with no ambiton with fans that will use the excuse " well they spent loads on their players and it shows". Bla bla bla. Every time we lose a game.

No, they did a number on us second half and stroked it around well.
They have a good keeper an ordinary defence but the rest is class

Ahh I like Warnock, passionate guy who's always happy to have a bit of banter with the fans.

As for the game, another one we shouldn't have lost but did thanks to being wasteful with our chances.

Can we stop the whole 'average' team thing though. Should have won at Cardiff during the week, and certainly not out-played by the top team.

We just went from back to front way too much and QPR deserved the win. I have seen them on TV three times this season and they are miles ahead of any other team in this division. Entertaining to also see Colin almost blow a gasket again. They are a class act and rock-solid at the back. Routledge was brilliant; Taarabt is a prima-donna, but his little ten yard acute-angled passes are a joy to watch.

I'm sorry, but did Jimmy Kebe arrive at the ground today? Liked Manset when he came on; raw and has the Gilkes factor: you have not got a fu cking clue what he his going to do and neither does the opposition. Karacan was our best today and we missed Legs.

I disagree Leon. I thought QPR were excellent. Knocked the ball around superbly and were still looking to win the game even being one player down. We created nothing in the second-half. Absolutely nothing. Either they defended very well or we were crap going forward or a bit of both.
