Svlad Cjelli We're potentially "good" - but too inconsistent to be called that all the time.

The spine of the team is still very young. In reality the team won't be at it's best for two to three years.

Agreed. But too many people want success and they want it NOW! Or they'll scream and scream!

So what's wrong with that? The bst team in our history has recently been dismantled, and instead of spending too much on the odd mercenary, we are attempting to plug gaps with our own youth, or with players who feel they have points to prove. In the middle of this transition period, we are comfortably in mid-table and with the very real prospect of our own youth players developing into something special. All this without mortgaging our soul.

Looks pretty good to me.

Hampshire Royal I've never understood why, when people say that we're not very good (in spite of evidence to the contrary), they say that they're being realistic!!

We aren't very good though, we're ok nothing more than that and our current position in the table is probably about right. We've got potential to be a very good side depending on how players develop and who we bring in over the next couple of transfer windows.

Agreed there, we are nothing more than average this season and I don't understand this constant concern that we're not going to make the play offs because that would be a bonus for us this year. The football hasn't exactly been exciting to watch, I would prefer us to focus on consolidating and building a team that will strongly compete in a few years. However a lot of the other teams have played boring stuff this season also, maybe this is just the way football is going!

Trouble is that despite the two seasons in the Prem as a club and fans we have not got much as a legacy from it, as we spent the money on wages. Memories yes, but the club is not really any further advanced that the season we went up.

Can't say they didn't totally deserve that. Fed kept us in that much longer than we should have managed.

25 shots to our 10. Says it all.

Are the massive improvments to the training ground (and also the PL-standard media centre) not legacies? What other sort of legacy could there be?
