Given that he went on to become one of our outstanding players of all time, Death.

Best: Upson

Worst: Barry Butlin

As regards Upson not being anything special in the premiership, I think we had him at his best, before injuries took their toll on him.

I can't believe you've overlooked Luke "Champions league" Chadwick.

For what he subsequently went on to do for the club it has to be Steve Death by the proverbial country mile.

No Fixed Abode Remind me of David Lee's scoring record for Reading from Centre Back.....

He played more of those brief 5 games with us in midfield not centre back.

Bandini
Croydon Royal but an honorable mention to John Salako - he was a revelation whenever he had to play for his contract

Sad but true. Also sad is the fact that I can't get Alone Again (Naturally) out of my head. Thanks.

Left unattended

Huntley & Palmer Mark McKeever, mainly because he was the highlight of a pretty awful spell for us having just been relegated to Div 2. Provided me with hope that there were better things to come, shame we bottled it post Man City that season, as I remember walking away from the Bournemouth away game with Magic Mark McKeever having scored the winner thinking we had a sniff of the playoffs

Great shout.

Made three and scored one away to Stoke.

"I saw him run..."

Upson I think - we shipped a lot of goals during Deathie's loan spell - though usually managed to score more at teh other end.

Worst = Paul lemon? Nicky Platenaur?? both 80's I think
