Howard and Legs looks to be our midfield ideal partnership to me. They give us strength, creativity, drive, composure and resilience in the middle.

Howard falls over a bit too much and gives the ball away a bit too much, but he adds much needed passing quality and composure to us that Karacan, Tabb and Gunnarsson can't give.

Feel free to list Howard's attributes too.

I did, you just haven't quoted that bit. Great effort.

Ideal, Howard and Legs have played together as a pair in what, one game? Not exactly much opportunity to outstrip Karacan & Legs record. And I'm talking about the future for us.

H 2-1 Burnley
H 1-0 WBA FA CUP
A 3-0 Doncaster
H 1-1 Hull City

That's all very well, but you could also say that he plays in a lot of draws, which I think is a result of Brian's determination to play two defensive midfielders per game.

I'm not arguing pros or cons, just stating the facts. However a season of W23 D23 would almost certainly make RFC Champions...

Howard falls over a bit too much and gives the ball away a bit too much, but he adds much needed passing quality and composure to us that Karacan, Tabb and Gunnarsson can't give.

He doesn't add that quality enough to warrant a place ahead of Tabb or Karacan, certainly given his workrate when we're without the ball.

disagree. Howard puts in a good shift and makes some pretty important tackles when he plays.

Completely agree. How many times against Watford did Howard try to get the ball on the deck and look to move the ball?

Exactly. He's the only player in the squad who can pick a decent pass.

If we could play 4-5-2 then he should play

We play better with two strikers (Long & Hunt 18 goals in 15)
but we need Elwood and Karacan/Tabb to win the ball for Howard.

Unfortunately, other clubs might complain

Apparently has asked to be rested tomorrow night to ensure his unbeaten record remains.
