Colin Cheeselog Absolute prick. Can’t stand him and I’m embarrassed that he’s captain of my team.

you took the words out of my keyboard.

Royal Lady Plus he's the best looking player in the team

That would be Brynjar. Mills has a real touch of the psychotic farmhand about him.

Tongue in cheek or not that is a typical response from a woman. Maybe we should all like him cos he has the fittest wag  . She is a free loader living off his income because she is utter gash as a actress, as he is as a footballer. The pair of them are suited. WoodleyRoyal The thing that riles me is if he thinks he doesn’t have a very good rapor with the fans why then come out and put yourself in the firing line? He is either thick as pig sh1t or he is deliberately trying to wind us up and sadly i think its the later

No, he is telling the truth. He is saying that the players don't need the negativity because they have to stay positive and believe they can win. If the fans have the right to be negative then the captain has the right to be positive. He is being a leader, trying to influence both his players and the fans to be positive on the night.

I'm glad we're not one of those clubs where the fans force the manager and players to be politically correct all the time, as they do at Liverpool. When Hodgson dared tell the fans up there he needed their support instead of their negativity they took him to the cleaners, as some Reading fans would like to do to Mills. But when certain fans reach the point of almost willing their own players to fail, then it's time for someone to speak up, as Mills has done--in polite enough terms--in this interview. He may have his flaws, but he's done nothing wrong in this case.

Come on guys, with all due respect he's a footballer not a professor in English literature.

All he's saying is "be positive", which is exactly the sort of stuff he/BM/anyone at the club is going to say.

Naturally the fans have been negative so he has to address that when saying we need to be positive.

But as I say he's no literary genius and I'm sure he could've put it better - or the editor could have perhaps.

Just odd that he does say it because what is there to be positive about playing a Prem side away when we've just almost lost to a relegation side and we have a kid in goal?

If only we had a surprise injection of £7.5million somewhere in the season we'd be able get decent pl.... oh.

There is a way of saying these sort of things and Mills clearly doesn't know it!

Perhaps the club should pay Murty to mentor Mills and check out what he is going to say before he's let loose with the media.

Interesting that things appear to come down to the fans and the manager rather than the players taking responsibility! So:

The team haven't got the results the fans wanted (what results did the players want then?)

and

The manager has a positive attitude towards the FA Cup which rubs off on the players (so the players didn't have a positive attitude towards it?)

In the past I've tried to give Mills the benefit of the doubt when it comes to his suitability as captain but after his bawling out of McCarthy at the weekend, I really do wonder why McDermott continues to feel he is the best player we have got for the role. If he really is, then once again it says something about the current quality of our squad.

WoodleyRoyal Tongue in cheek or not that is a typical response from a woman. Maybe we should all like him cos he has the fittest wag  . OI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you read the rest of what I had to say? You obviously don't like him, so it wouldn't matter WHAT someone who disagreed with you said, you'd still not change your mind - but there's no need to go throwing your toys out of the pram and making wild accusations. His girlfriend isn't a freeloader - she earns a good living herself actually. As an actress.

It must be great being a woman (or a gay man) at a football match because you aren't just watching sport you're eyeing up talent.

Can someone just post that picture of his missus so we can all chill out please?

Otherwise he wouldn't be my choice as captain as he needs to focus 100% on his defensive duties and improving as a player. I don't think he's Premier League quality yet but that seems more of a mental issue then anything else.

Like others have said it's harsh to criticise him because of the size of the fee. That was Hammond & Rodgers. It's quite interesting though that Rodgers had apparently fallen out with him so quickly to just disregard him from even a struggling side.

Don't think he's best served coming out with comments like this, what the team should be trying to do is say, 'yeah we've all cocked up a bit in recent weeks but we're moving forward and the fans that have followed us through the tricky time deserve to be rewarded'

So yeah, not my favourite player but he's far from a c*ck or a tw*t and we SHOULD get behind him everytime he's wearing the shirt.
