Wouldn't it be a steal if Hammond had agreed a nice little fee for Leigterwood upfront when they worked out the loan deal?

I think that's what they did when we took Stack on loan whilst his rape case was outstanding, and it's something that clubs sometimes do for players they're looking to get rid of.

Perhaps it's just wishful thinking on my part.

It was a medley of If You Leave Me Now by Chicago and Please Don't Go by No Mercy. Stunning.

A QPR fan at work just said thus...

Derry is streets ahead I’m afraid. Reading have seen maybe 10 games from him. We’ve seen 3 years, so I’d say he’s a good but not spectacular championship player. But if he’s on form for you, great. If we go up you’ll get him very cheap I expect.

Just passing it on.

If he's available "very cheap" or even on a free, that means
competing clubs can offer higher wages to tempt him...

Looks like he'll have to undefeated for the whole of the season.

That way we go to Wembley three times, win the FA Cup and promotion
and can afford him.

Easy innit?

the fact that he's never really settled any where doesn't half make me wonder if he'd be quite as effective with a 4 year contract under his belt

Was out in Wokingham last night & bumped into Gareth Ainsworth. Top bloke - chatted to us for ages & didn't seem put out in the slightest. He is very good friends with Mikele & Jobi & I told him to tell Legs he better bloody sign for us or else!

He said he was shocked that QPR had let him go out on loan & said he was a top top player. He wished Reading good luck for the season too & said he remembered our victory against them very well when Murty scored the pen against them as he was captain that day.

Very nice fella & was very complimentary about us & how he enjoyed playing at Elm Park.

Nice to know not all footballers are primadonna twats.

Just a thought but if Elwood maintains this for the rest of the season

P14 W7 D7 L0 29-15 GD=14

28 Points from 14 = 2 ppg

We would finish on 74 Points and a GD of 27 and a brilliant, near-cert chance of being in the POs.

Nah we could lose on pens after an extra-time draw. (I don't count penalty shoot-outs)

I don't think 74 points will be enough for the playoffs. After 36 matches last season the final playoff spot was occupied by Cardiff with 52 points. This season it is Forest on 59 points (and Burlnley only 3 points further back with 2 games in hand). I can see 75 or 76 points being needed.
