so celtic are getting the decisions now, just last week motherwell got a penalty for nothing against celtic, the count is now at 29, the number of dodgy penalties/offsides or sendings off going against celtic in just one season and it's not finished yet, yet rangers have a bitch and a moan about the sendings off - fair enough that's part of the game but they wouldn't have scored if they were still playing now against celtic, no creativity in that team, just set up to stifle and kick because celtic mullered them last time......whittaker sending off was harsh, bougherra second yellow, he got the ball although first yellow of his could have been a red, most neutrals say the ref handled the game well.............celtic are a better football team, simple as that, hence rangers tried to make in into a battle, celtic weren't having any of it, just three bookings, tried to play the game, all those hating on lennon are accusing him of exactly what they are demonstrating themselves, hate-filled bigotry but they are too dumb to notice the irony, he does let his temper get the better of him at times and needs to calm down a bit, a few games in the stands will give him time to reflect on his outbursts..........the reason why there was a confrontation with diouf is because diouf (who almost everybody in english football who has played with him or against him consider him a huge oxf*rd) shoulder charged the celtic physio on the pitch, he then went to the celtic bench after the whittaker sending off, he was sent off at the end of the game and refused to leave the pitch, the police even told him to stop inflamming the situation but he continued regardless, at the end of the game mccoist muttered something to lennon that set him off, there are rumours about what he said but who knows? did what he said justify lennon's reaction? who knows?
all i know is celtic have been dominat over rangers in the last four games and ranger's discipline was terrible last night, these are the facts, I am not going to engage in the predictable bigoted hatred that many some to come on here to direct at celtic, that speaks volumes about those people.....I am merely analysing the game, I think the reason why your skin is crawling daniella is not because of my posts but because rangers are being consistently outplayed by celtic at the moment and on top of night they also lost their heads last night, you lost the match so you are trying to win the propoganda war, so all the celtic haters can call lennon a ginger irish bollox all they want, they can go on about tims and terrorists and republicanism and cheating all they like (again without noticing the irony, if i was to get into the nasty stuff surrounding rangers this post would go on quite a while but i'll leave it)......it's merely an exercise in futility, in trying to find something, anything to blame for the fact celtic are dominating them at the moment and are vastly superior, the fans can't take it and going by last night's showing, the players and management can't take it either....so carry on with the anti-celtic vitriol coz it's a sure sign that celtic are on top
having said all that, the quality of football in the spl in general is not very good and the old firm games are making the news for the wrong reasons at the moment, for the rucks and hatred and sendings-off and so on rather than the quality of football, some enjoy that, i don't, i want to see a proper football match..................................I also admit that celtic share a part of the blame for all the bitterness and hatred in the fixture (do the rangers fans accept same?).....i would accept games being played behind closes doors for a seaosn (would the rangers fans?)......if the rangers fans think the refs are so bad then would they welcome referees from other countries or maybe an independent disciplinary commision again hiring people from aborad (i would be delighted with this, would the rangers fans?)
so hate all you like, and the others will hate back and the cycle will continue and I'll admit I have got involved in that stuff but it's far far more satisfying to win a game of football than a game of hate so hate away but the result remains the same

24 hours on now so I thought I'd re-evaluate. I dont know whether to be dissapointed that the whole confrontations between McCoist and Lennon has slightly been swept under the carpet, I'm sure there will be some more fall out after the "summit" next week. There isn't a point to me defending some of the behaviour that either club showed last night, not just Rangers. I think the ref got a few things wrong, firstly with the Whitaker first booking. As a Referee you've got to set an example - and you set a presidence, I was irate moments later that a Celtic player wasnt booked for a similar incident and then the lad gets sent off - the replay I saw hmm, I dont know, the lad hadnt made a challenge other then those two. Rangers, and I'm putting this out there as an excuse for their weak performance really werent going to foray much into the other half, few injury problems and suspensions to boot! The E-HD flash point seemed to be doing what he was intilted to do - head to the bench, have a drink get instructions and then all you see is Ally head off to find Lennon. If Lennon has (as rumoured) racially abused the lad, then I'm sure Gus (and as many Celtic fans have) would admit thats plain wrong and no need for that or sectarian abuse. In the Tunnel at half time another flash point seemed to be caused by Mjallaby. The John Fleck booking was just incredible, great dive. On to the second half, the guy I was watching this with was angered that Papac was dead on the goal line when the goal was scored, you cant stop the game there, its split second between then and Wilson getting the ball back! I think the ref inflamed the end of game antics by the red to Boughera and soured more of a bad night for Gers, who couldnt muster up a chance.
The SPL is a dreadful league to watch, some of it very dull and uninspiring. Gone are the days where the Old Firm attracted top names in World Football to the clubs, which has also affected the other teams in the league. Aberdeen is full of League 1 standard players, I also would like to see a proper but passionate football match without the need to wave an imaginary yellow card in front of the referees face. I dont know if playing the games behind closed doors would help at all. As for foreign referees? I'm undecided- why not share the English refs for SPL as well and vice-versa giving some of these other refs the chance to ref other big games. Imagine how Howard Webb would've handled that game last night?
Something has to give. It has to. Correct me if I'm wrong but away fans have been banned from both grounds before on occasions, and I'm sure it happens in Holland. This is an unprecedented season of 7 OF games, Plod must've been pulling their hair out when the draw was made. Things may well change with a new concept to the league.
Both teams arent great sides, but have some terriffic individuals within them.
