URZZZZZZZZ On the subject of Royalty Points, would it be worth scrapping points that were accrued over 5 years ago?

+1 - Completely agree that a rolling system ought to be introduced say 4/5 yrs. Its the fairest way to do it. Have got 3 tickets already but will try to buy another tonight for someone that has 1578 - how annoying!

Do people think it will be likely we are ushered to our correct seat numbers or could I sneakily squeeze a friend in next to me? Debating what to do...

Well, you could just ask whoever i in that seat if they don't mind, but considering it is going to be a sell out, I see it as unlikely you'll be able to get 1 person in next to you.

That was my thinking. I'm also guessing that the £15 tickets have sold first so if I can only get a £25 one not a cat in hell's chance of sitting together. Truly awful that someone with 600 can get a ticket the same time as someone with 1578. Wrong wrong wrong!

Not much chance of that is there?! It would still allievate the problem a little IMO.

They can't remove royalty points, that would be unfair removing points we have paid for.

1500 odd points for me and Mrs TSG, so despite living in Manchester and this being supposedly easier than the normal slog for.home games, we're also in the midnight bun fight. Down in London for a stag doo at the weekend anyway, already changed time of train back at extra cost so.I'm going one way or another, just hope its in the right end with you lot...anyone already bought in home end care to say which stand if not...apologies if missed anyone's answer to that already in the long list of pages!

In fact having points going on forever would be perfect, fans have to pay and earn their right to attend the big matches. The club surely wouldn't be silly enough ti even consider upsetting fans further.

That Friday Feeling
Super Royals
That Friday Feeling 900 odd tickets left on day one

So the figures i have heard for tickets sold now is 600,1500,1900,2000,2700, any more guesses?

Not a guess, at least not on my part. I rang the TO at 4.50pm and that is what they told me.

Add those that will be bought on-line before midnight and I reckon there will be no more than 700 left for the thousands that fall within the 600-1599 bracket.

Why exactly is a rolling system unfair? You'd only be losing points you earned say 5 years before so providing you are still actively supporting the club you would have more than enough points to be in the 1st couple of brackets for big games such as this. I'm clearly in the minority thinking this then!

I just told you why that was a daft idea MM, they could however inflate points each year as they have done for away games.

They can't even manage the most simple of maths/systems. They'd never get that to work properly!

Thinking about it, they would be good TV material for:

Well when we get back in the Prem & stay there for 5 season we can all whinge about how awful the new rolling system is. I won't hold my breath though....

My 2 cents...

- Our allocation is way too small. I've seen probably 4,000-5,000 away fans at the ground before (obv only on tv, but the away end has looked more or less full) and who cares if we get a huge allocation and then don't sell out? Make it unreserved, then everyone is happy

- The bands between the member points groups are way too big.

- Free coach travel is all well and good, but it's just so unfair on those with smaller numbers of points who have to wait. I've been to Everton (should get priority tbh), Bristol City, Swansea, Cardiff, Norwich, Millwall away this season, and I know plenty of supporters who have season tickets but never go away.

- The club aren't damned if they do, damned if they don't, we've just got a stupidly small allocation. Even if we had just 1,000 more, we'd be fine I reckon.

Plus the free coach travel will encourage everyone who hasn't even been away before to go, whereas people like me who go away more but only have 400 points are left stranded.

Happy days! :D I'll be at the laptop at 11.50 with my finger hovering over "confirm purchase" before any other oxf*rd!

Then you have 18,000 "active" fans with lots of points. Is it 19 games? Call that 38 points per season. One point for cup games and away games. "Proper" supporters could earn >50% more points per season than STHs alone. Plenty of room for banding sales, rewards away support.

Inactive fans lose points each year.

What's not to like?

My first royalty points record season ticket was back in 2004 when they began and only worth 95 points or something. So they are increasing points year on year to help people catch up but we shodldnt lose what we paid for. I recall only going to the fenerbache friendly as it was 20 points.

When was the last time Tesco told you you couldn't retain your Clubcard points because you only bought a pot noodle from a Tesco Express in 2005?

You have a valid point when the club have offered high levels of points to bribe fans into spending hard earned cash on attending glorified training sessions dressed up as friendlies.

And at the time everyone was much closer in points and pretty much every season ticket holder would be classed as the top tier of points brackets. It was an investment for the future in a lot of peoples eyes, and worth 10 away games or so.

So if it's Man City away, person A has a season ticket 3 years ago but now doesn't go, but person B goes to 4 or 5 away matches that season. And person A gets the ticket? Unfair imo.
