RoyalBlue I've had an offer from a City fan (courtesy of their Bluemoon forum) to sort us out tickets in a 'nice area' of the City end. Genuine football supporters are always happy to help each other out, regardless of club loyalties.

Unlike our own club officials the City fans recognise how important this game is to us.

Where is said area..? The ground is pretty much sold out according to their website and fans.. I'm in Manc and would be looking for the best area to sit..

Tails I'm bitter I can't get a ticket.....oh.

Wrong again. I can't go on Sunday for reasons that don't concern you. However, I've got 1580 royalty points and I would be pissed off, like any other fan that the banding went down to 600 points after 1600. I also find it kind of strange that some Reading fans are delighting in the fact that they have tickets where others don't. I'm aware that some of them, like Bigfoot, are attempting a tiresome windup but others just seem to be smug little bastards.

That was me bringing it back on topic :|

I didn't read the rest but don't let me stop you or anything.

No problem. It's always a good idea not to read stuff that indicates you're making a dick of yourself. So. we've established that I'm not bitter because I didn't get a ticket (you may have not read that bit where I said I didn't want one). So exactly what am I upset about? I'm guessing you can't say because you're too busy wondering how you can upset me.

I'm annoyed because it's a major cock up by the club. I can't understand why it took so long to put the tickets on sale. I can't understand why they only took 2,800 tickets. I can't understand how they worked out the banding. I can't understand why some Reading fans are being massive dicks by, effectively saying nah, nah, nah, na na... Clear?

I'm not even a Reading fan and I have two tickets. But they're going to m8s who support Reading and don't have STs.

I have 1601 points and I'm not going so someone can have my ticket. First come, first served with a PM. I won't even charge you the postage

prostak Nice to see fans helping each other out. This is the family spirit I've found whenever I visit the Madejski.

£15 to you

I'm alright, jack - sat up on high, possibly behind the 'We're not really here' banner. I suppose I'd best start learning Blue Moon.

Sorry was that all for me or was the second bit a free for all?

Anyway, I'll try move this on again as someone can't

I think it wasn't particularly well played by the club but Reading fans do need to wake up that they can't have everything there own way. What I mean by this is that Reading clearly state why they played it cautiously regarding allocation - the replay last year at Liverpool goes quite some way in vindicating this caution.

If we look at the nature of the way Reading have acted, cautious as I said, in a wider context - surely after all the initial disappointment facing Reading fans - I hope most can reconcile with their actions. Remembering that we are proud that the club continue to invest a lot of effort into making this club self-sufficient, a business designed to avoid scenarios like Plymouth and scares like at Portsmouth. Bringing it back to this issue, prudence dictated them to take this path and I for one, in the long run, am content that the Club make sensible decisions.

....If you're still 'smarting', why not chill out, watch it on TV or buy a ticket in the home end. [Directed at no-one in particular!]

Tails the replay last year at Liverpool goes quite some way in vindicating this caution.

I'm sure the major difference between this game and Liverpool is that this game is on a Sunday, Not a Tuesday night. Also worth factoring in is that it had snowed hard before the game. Most traveled to the game unsure whether the game was defiantly on or not and others may not have wanted to travel in those wintery conditions.
