Wax Jacket I like him and I don't mind the filler because talking too much about RFC would just make it fcuking boring.

doesn't quite have a JP/Motson-esque grasp of football geekery but he's not too bad. Gooding is very good value.

he only whitters during thedull bits of play- of which there are often many

Hey Tim, any plans to interview Rodgers when Swansea come to town - provided he is still in a job by then? But be prepared to be accused of not being a fan of Swansea though

Disagree. The key thing to remember when you're commentating on the radio is that WE CAN'T SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING. You have to tell us. He meanders off into so much irrelevance that I end up sitting there thinking I might as well be watching it on Teletext.

Typical game would be something like "corner to Sheffield Wednesday, well claimed by Adam Federici and...Mick, what sort of sandwiches do you think we'll get in the press room at half-time today? Hopefully better than at Scunthorpe, they were realllllly dreadful...and here's a chance for Church and Reading go 1-0 up. Church found himself in front of goal and slotted it away"

Listeners all over Berkshire thinking WTF happened there :?: :!: .

I still tune in all the time though :-/

Agree with Maguire. Dellor always goes off on a tangent. I'm not sure how he got the job in the first place to be honest. Cutbacks perhaps?

I remember listening in to Burnley v Reading, it might have been last season and they went on about the weird blue sky for about half an hour....

Can I just point out for those of you who know that I sit in the Upper West, that when Tim Dellor refers to "Mr Angry" he isn't referring to me, but to someone who sits immediately in front of me.

Thank you.

I'm glad you mentioned that - I've always assumed it is you. I can't believe there could be another angry person sitting so close to the original!

FAO Dellor, next time your "base station" staff get a postmatch matchday call from "Alan" (with his budgie),

Please make sure that the budgie gets to do ALL of the talking

FAO Dellor

Excellent "from the front" coverage of the Reading Half Marathon today.

Once again, blowing "the official half marathon radio station" 107 into the plastic bottle-lined gutters
