Luton will start next season on an unprecedented minus 30 points after a ruling by the Football League.
The Hatters had already been deducted 10 points by the Football Association after being found guilty of misconduct for paying agents via a third party.

THE SO-CALLED ‘unauthorised’ agent at the centre of the QPR Alejandro Faurlin furore is believed to be Italian Peppino Tirri.
But far from lacking credentials, the 54-year-old Italian is a registered FIFA agent whose offices are just off Piccadilly Circus and numbers the likes of Luis Figo among his clients.
Chronicle sport has learned Tirri’s name is at the bottom of the FA documents for the Argentine’s registration when he joined Rangers in 2009.
Yesterday, the club and chairman Gianni Paladini were charged with seven counts of breaching FA rules relating to transfer rules and regulations that include third party involvement and payments to an unauthorised agent.
If found guilty the Championship table-toppers could lose points and/or suffer a hefty fine.
But Rs are confident that not only is everything above aboard, their legal team will have the case thrown out before it reaches the hearing stage.
Nothing has been hidden or any document altered, as was the allegation made against West Ham in 2007 during the Carlos Tevez affair it’s understood – and Hoops are mystified that two years after they signed the 24-year-old midfielder, the sport’s domestic authority want to take action now.
"Barristers working for the club have looked at it from top to bottom – and there is no case to answer," said an insider.

Ark Royal Just to avoid this scenario, I reckon the FA will land them with a HUGE fine - probably the largest-ever - and nothing more.

Top FlightSnowballTop Flight I don't want to see QPR docked any points at all.
Considering West Ham didn't have any points deducted it would be unfair for QPR to be dealt that punishment. It would just show the favouritism that big clubs enjoy from the authorities in this nation.
It is the same favouritism that big companies seem to enjoy from the government when it comes to issues of being allowed to get away with only paying 1% corporation tax or when banks are bailed out and small firms are not bailed out.
That's like saying don't get Gadaffi for War Crimes
because Atilla the Hun didn't get done.
It's precisely BECAUSE West Ham squeaked through (and in the process set Sheffield United back probably 20 years) that the rules were tightened.
QPR clearly broke rules AFTER knowing all about these issues
then they were given a chance to clean up the mess but CONTINUED LYING
Much as I fee for the fans (my brother-in-law and nephews are QPR fans)
IMO they should be nothing less than relegated with a 10 Million fine
Well, I don't think Gadaffi should be done for war crimes if Bush and Blair won't get done for it.
You can't have one rule for Bush and Blair and another rule for everyone else. Just like you can't have one rule for West Ham and another for QPR.

Ark Royal Any hearing and verdict surely would have to happen as quickly as possible because the season's end is so close. If the False Hoops are found guilty AFTER the season proper has finished and the play-offs concluded then that would be a recipe for disaster. In that case, what would happen to the team that finished seventh?
Just to avoid this scenario, I reckon the FA will land them with a HUGE fine - probably the largest-ever - and nothing more.

Royal Rother Forthcoming events:
Relegation and £10m fine.
Money-men pull out.
Colin leaves.
Mass exodus of players.
Terrible start to the season.
Administration and points deduction.
Relegation.
Yep, give it 14 months and they'll be training for the start of the 2012/13 season in League 2.

I hope even the FA aren't that short-sighted. How large is large enough? £5M, £10M?
If they only apply a financial penalty other clubs might see bending the rules as a legitimate tactic. If they get caught, that's the price of success. There's £50M available for getting into the Prem - plenty would gamble.

Barry the bird boggler So when will it be decided if there's a case to answer? From reading the last press release QPR are still highly hopeful that this is just much ado about nothing and it won't even get to court.
