Trevor Senior's Gap At the risk of opening a can of worms again, does anyone have prior experience of what happens if tickets don't turn up? Is there some procedure for RFC speaking to city and replacements made available at the ground on proof of purchase and the old ones voided? Always got to me in manc next day before, so gutted they haven't arrived by now

Dunno about procedure but word earlier in the thread was that any online purchases were not sent out until Wednesday (i.e. yesterday) pending requests for coach tickets.

I have no faith in HM Royal Mail first class meaning "next day" anymore so will be holding out hope for tomorrow and will stay in until postie has been and if no tickets will be straight on to TO to find out what the contingency plan is.

You still have Saturday's post though so all is not lost tomorrow.

Yeah but my postie doesn't normally come until lunchtime at the earliest and TO closes at lunchtime on Sat so I want to know what the contingency plan is tomorrow if tickets don't turn up.

papereyes Malmaison at Picadilly has quite the reputation for older, gay men going cruising.

Got in there before me. My brother's boyfriend used to be the Maitre D' there, he certainly seemed to appreciate that side of the business.

RFCUK Got a few questions I may post this every other page as I wouldn't mind an answer..
Second Question:

Will people just say f*ck it, and we all sit unreserved?

Third Question:

Those who live in Manc, do you fancy an early afternoon pub crawl on the way to the stadium?

2. lolz at the idea of Reading fans being community-spirited enough for that to work

3. I'll be in the Temple, Sandbar or the Lass. Sandbar doesn't let football colours in, and I like that about it. I might crawl past those three on my way to Bradford

I think I've realised his problem. Perhaps he was relying on definition 1 whereas he should have been using definition 2!!

Verb 1. apologise - defend, explain, clear away, or make excuses for by reasoning; "rationalise the child's seemingly crazy behavior"; "he rationalised his lack of success"
rationalise, apologise, rationalise, justify, excuse
colour, gloss, color - give a deceptive explanation or excuse for; "color a lie"
plead - offer as an excuse or plea; "She was pleading insanity"
defend, fend for, support - argue or speak in defense of; "She supported the motion to strike"
extenuate, mitigate, palliate - lessen or to try to lessen the seriousness or extent of; "The circumstances extenuate the crime"

2. apologise - acknowledge faults or shortcomings or failing; "I apologised for being late"; "He apologized for the many typoes"
apologise

And another important one for his future reference:

com·mu·ni·cate (k-myn-kt)
v. com·mu·ni·cat·ed, com·mu·ni·cat·ing, com·mu·ni·cates
v.tr.
1.
a. To convey information about; make known; impart: communicated his views to our office.
b. To reveal clearly

Not sure how long it takes to stuff 2,800 tickets in envelopes and through a franking machine but ours weren't sent out until Wednesday. That's quite a time from @1.00am Tuesday morning! OK, of course they won't be working then but maybe, given the high demand and short timescales, they might have been in at 7.00am Tuesday (that's the sort of thing that happens in real businesses).

You're just spoiling for a fight. Not think they waited to see if you booked coach travel so they could include your voucher?

Thanks. Yeah that is exactly my thought. Won't be in from work till gone 8pm tomorrow and ticket office obviously then closed, at least if ticket office is open first thing sat then that is something, just wondered if it had happened to anyone before and what procedure might be....fingers crossed eh!

I've had this situation a couple of times. What I've done is speak to the RFC ticket office (so give them a call on Saturday morning) and told them my tickets haven't arrived. They've spoken to the home club's TO and they've printed duplicates for us to pick up before the game. This worked fine at Brammal Lane one year, but there was a mis-communication at Bolton and we had to buy extra tickets on the day. We would have got a refund on those, apparently, had I not lost the ones that eventually arrived

agreed with Prostak - can't see number 2 happening. as soon as someone says " that's my seat please move" it will become chaos ...

3 - RFCUK would have gladly met you for a pint but on the train back from london so a quick run from picadilly for me up to the council ground after a few singing voice looseners on the train

Thanks RobRoyal that was the kind of answer I was hoping for - just in case like! Thought it must have happened to someone before now...

If you do need to get a duplicate from the away club (City), sometimes they will not issue it until after kickoff to ensure that your ticket has not already been used. Just a word of warning if you do have to go down that road.

I was planning on just going to the Footage to drink and watch the Stoke - West Ham match beforehand, but it wasn't really concrete. Would be good to meet some more fellow royals!

Super Royals Anyone know when tickets go on sale? :D

How many royalty points will be needed? I reckon it will be the same as Stevenage 8)

Mr or Ms Superroyals

Please can you add a poll? I would like to know how many people have tickets in the Man city end. The club seem to think that its just the coaches that have effected demand but obviously this is n't a factor for those wihtout away end tickets.

thanks!

It's Mr

I've added the poll 8)

The Footage is my exact idea of a very bad time... As is watching West Ham vs Stoke. I think this may deserve its own thread, over on the Meet Up section
