What Redknapp says and what he does seem to be at near complete variance.

Anyway he's part of the reason for Portsmouth being No1 hated club (along with the violence, getting away with debts, nicking players - did you hear about the Ashdown appearance fee incident? etc).

Strangely enough, I don't hate the shite. I don't even dislike them. In fact, I have a soft spot for the old Recreation Ground. But I did pmsl when I saw them at Hayes a few years ago giving it large with their anti-Reading songs. Bless them.

I was thinking about this yesterday - having sat in the home end for one of the clubs I truly despise (was indifferent, even a bit sympathetic, before I worked for 6 months in Stockport...), I wondered if there are any teams I'd actually refuse to do that for. I think the ones with far-right support, i.e. Rangers, Legia, Hansa Rostock, are beyond me. Possibly our two significant local rivals too. And Blackburn, obviously.

why do you loathe harry rednapp? what do you now about him that the general public do not?

But he epitomises the worst kind of wheeler-dealer, throw-any financial caution to the wind while feathering his own nest, type of manager.

Rednapp has been a disaster at every club he has managed.
Made then successful maybe, but at what cost?
