8 years ago we beat Palace 2-1 and one of my favourite RFC goals ever happened. Step forward Steve Brown's free kick under the wall

25 years ago exactly we beat Newport 2-0. My first ever game. The downside is that if I say my first game was a 2-0 win v Newport in 85/86 people tend to assume I mean the record-breaking 12th win, and start reminiscing. I have to then butt in and point out I meant the relatively inconsequential win later in the season.

£2.50 to get in and a 50p programme. Ah, nostalgia.
